When Helina said "They thought my beauty would entrance the people of Alivast" I immediately thought of a sickening technique cults use that a lot of ex-cult members call "Flirt to convert"
Just got here on my rewatch…spoiler warning! Okay read further at your own risk! Holy crap I mourn the loss of NPC Ken. He could’ve been our first real glimpse at Tobi’s family through his father Hiro but instead it remains a seemingly out of nowhere reveal toward the end…props to Monty for this level of patience to tease a reveal this early and still faithfully wait until the right moment later on
This is easily one of, if not my favorite episode of the first campaign, for a lot of the jokes in Druid district, the formal introduction into Helena (one of my favorite NPCs), the start of Panic's long and meaningful relationship with her, the founding of the Comet of Orin, Borky's talk with Mr. Borpington in the kitchen, and well as being the only time I REALLY didn't like Greckles
Man I don't know how to feel. Whenever the campaign has to deliver sentimental dialog I find it way on the nose and insanely more emotional than how people actually act. I get it, Panic's trying to educate a racist. But holy shit he's talking to this person like she's 9 and she's just made a very big oopsie daisy moment faze of her life instead of living a lifetime of beliefs. I recognize that this is RP here but people just don't talk like this. And it's jarring when I listen to these more sentimental moments. Despite it being fiction, these people just don't relate when it comes to a natural conversation. There's way to much composure and m'lady fedora tipping vibes.
You can just hear the regret in Monty's voice when Borky acquires Tubbs

Montys voice during the chase when she realized she created a monster, a new obsession for borky
16:05 actual start time
Yay a new round of employees! The family is growing!
Spoilers
Helena’s character development was so good.
Love the new hires, wish they could have brought more on.
Probably late to ask but I want to know the story behind the Elf that's buying out all the anti-drunk roots and hangover berry's every single week.
I assume it's Hammergnar

OH FUCK I DIDNT EVEN REALIZE!!
It's mostly sad because I would've liked to have seen the interactions between him and greckles
Task just started the Age of Ultron
Task is definitely the Donald Duck of the group

3:47:02 The “Majima everywhere” system, but it’s Tiengo
Spoiler:
Borky acquires a Holy Relic of Orun.
1:51:58 damn i saw some ppl doing it one time and assumed it worked with strength, i guess it was a homebrew rule
Yeah it's homebrew. A pretty common homebrew at that, so much so that I'm surprised its not optional to use it in official content.
It’s official as per chapter 7 of the players handbook under the heading of skills as a variant rule.
Love TUBBS
Its a piece of lys!
You are entitled to your beliefs unless they go against the lives of others. Unless they’re doing harm to the people around you.
first cuz connor said

The shame part of it is he's a good performer, not a good people person.
OMG THIS IS WHEN WE GET TUBBS.
