a suggestion for the ones having trouble braiding: get a mannequin head from Amazon to practice on. can choose a hair texture too. that's how I learned and now im pretty good at it.
Definitely works I highly recommend mannequins 😊

Cutie pie! I just kept my daughters hair in puffs at that age 😂. My back would have been killing me wrestling with her to sit still. I think she was about 3 or 4 before u could do braids and beads on her without too much fuss.

Where were you to do my sons hair!?!?!? I had to cut it all off he was tender headed and his hair attracted lint like none other. He had the exact same texture as your baby, but I would get frustrated because my hair is more of a 3b/3c texture. And I got tired of fighting and crying and the carpal tunnel in my wrist. God bless you wish his hair is still long but I couldn’t do it
I’m so frustrated with myself having a little girl and not knowing how to braid her hair. Even when I try to practice my fingers can’t seem to grip and cornrow straight 😞
Have you tried flat twisting? Or if you haven't already, try separating the braid into little sections and just pick up those sections as you go. It helps not getting the fingers untangled in the hair.
It took me a while too. I'm sure you'll get it. Practice makes perfect.
I totally understand your frustration love, try not using and product while braiding so you can get the hang of it and be able to grasp the hair and as you get better add products as you go, maybe it’s to much slip for you and causing it to not grip. Keep practicing you’ll get it 💕

My child would NEVER SLEEP while I did her hair. It's a battle to the death each time.
Lol I know some kids have a hard time sleeping while getting their hair done but try doing it close to a nap or if you notice they’re sleepy try it. Also snacks and good tv show or phone(new generation babies lol)❤️
