@Jennifer Stay Aww I missed the live feed. These are a bit too pricey for my budget. You did an awesome job with them! Maybe you can suggest to OLO that (just like printer ink cartridges) the marker cartridges can be returned to the company empty. The company could then recycle them into reconditioned filled cartridges. For returning empty used cartridges they could give a coupon code or something...Just a thought.

If these were a lot cheaper and environmentally friendly, then maybe. The $958 price tag and the non-compostable plastic cartridges make it a big no. Enjoy yours though. I will stick to Copics, Touchtwin or Art-n-fly with less plastic and less damage on my pocketbook! Keep creating 💙💛💜

My Budget isn't going to stretch to keeping my membership or buying new markers, but your excitement is CONTAGIOUS. I am putting these on my dream list. So far I am learning using cheaper Chinese markers. I have a wonderful lot of Pantones from ages ago. I bought them at an auction, but only learned how to use them by watching you!

I bought the full set of these after a couple of days of using them, I still prefer copic markers because their colour story is just better overall. Unique design and concept but not good enough to replace my staple. I don't think they are bad or terrible or any of the like they are good. I just prefer copic for the colour choices.

Thanks for the demo Jennifer! I have only just started to use mine (beyond initial swatches) and I'm really liking them too.
I was worried that the constant flow would make them too "juicy" and make them hard to control, but the flow is just right for me (I struggle with Ohuhu). I had that same experience you did with suddenly wondering if I needed to give them a break. LOL I printed a coloring page on 11x14 Strathmore Bristol paper and colored a huge sky area (about 50-60% of the page/image) and I couldn't believe I didn't have to stop and wait for the nib to "revive". The color of the nib got a little paler right at the end, when I had about two square inches left to go, but it was still applying plenty of ink to the paper.
I got a set of the brush handles with my pre-order and I find they make it easier to hold them straight up to do light flicks, almost like I do with my watercolor brushes. I found the nib points to be the sharpest/thinnest of any of my markers too, but not sure how long that will last as the nibs are used.
Some of my Blick Studio brush markers and Ohuhu brush markers have dried out a bit just sitting out on my desk (laying horizontally in racks) and the ink in a couple even changed color. (Love that the Olo markers can be stored vertically.) I'm also interested to see how long each half lasts and also whether they evaporate over time.

@Coloring Bliss - Well, my initial love and excitement for these Olo markers faded quickly. 😒 That coloring page I did , that I mentioned in my comment above, where the nib started to get lighter at the end? Well, it's because IT'S EMPTY already!
I didn't like how they were blending, so I printed the same image on Copic's Ex-Press It paper (which is a 8.5"x11" page size) and TRIED to start over, but the nib became almost white and no more ink was flowing out. I let it sit overnight with the nib pointed down, but nope. I shook it and there's no sound of ink "sloshing" inside, like in the other unused halves. It's definitely EMPTY! 😧
I used the other half, in the same color to finish the sky portion of the re-printed coloring page, and I'm fairly sure it's about to run out as well (that ink sloshing sound is different from the other unused halves and the nib got a bit lighter toward the end). 😠
I'm pretty upset, if that's the expected life/page yield for each half (equivalent to about 1 light layer over a total 8.5x11 inch area of 100lb cardstock type paper like Strathmore Bristol and Ex-Press It).
I wrote to them this morning about the issue and all the details. I hope they reply and that it's just some manufacturing issue that they will fix and make right with founding customers (like me, who bought the ENTIRE set back in April 😕).
Oh...and I tried the same page (on 100lb Hammermill Cover Copy) with my 2 year old Blick Studio Brush marker in a similar color, and that marker is fine. The Blick brush nib got a bit dry on the last inch or two area of the page, but it has fully recovered after sitting overnight. 🤨 So yeah, not happy with Olo right now.

Thank you so much for the follow up. I invested in the platinum package and saved 47.6% of the current pricing but it is still a very very very EXPENSIVE 😱😱😱😱😱purchase. Other than Becca Hillburn who did an amazing review there have been nothing but hype and excitement. I should have known, my mistake, that when they would not address the bullet nib situation that things would be biased by all the artists they got to endorse them. I really wanted someone to have a real world experience about the amount of ink they advertised. I also saw after Becca Lisa’s coloring corner. Her unboxing was quite horrific. The boxes they sent with the markers were not completely shut properly. All reviews had something off about these. Thank you again for validating my worst fears. 😉😉😉😉😉

@Barbara Burgess First of all so sorry about your illness, wish you all the best ❤️. Secondly, even with no cancer, I can’t justify or afford the price of these markers. I guess Jennifer can afford it,good for her.

If you get a small set with brush on both sides and a friend does the same with another you can trade then you both can have a full(er) set. Can save $$ on them that way.

Love that you did a follow up video. So happy that you were won over considering the fact that they are pricey. @businesspartner 😆 we would love a giveaway. These are expensive and exciting so I am sure someone will be very happy and grateful to own some of these markers. Whether you do a giveaway or not, I am happy these markers are worth it because I think we were all ready for an alternative to Copics and an upgrade in alcohol markers in general. Thank you.
