That's what I like about feather too he did what he had to do to protect nothing even though in is heart he didn't want to but he really had no choice what really was heartwarming was how he comfort her knowing that she still traumatized by her father and brother's deaths that made me love feather even more as a character
Okay, but I really like how Fire is written. He didn’t switch from being good to: oh no! Evil! He is being revealed to have changed. He has good intentions but lacks on proper execution of them. He thinks he’s taken account for others’ feelings, but in reality he isn’t. He has to learn how to listen to people more and to stop feeling as if he’s this high and mighty being that is so merciful.
Right ? Like I don't get people hating on him. Boy wanted a pride and choose one who had NO CUBS because he took in consideration how it affected him and his sister.
@@unchartedraider7547 exactly. Not to mention that it's understandable in general. He has the same way of thinking we heard from Nothing earlier and why wouldn't he? If even Nothing with those visions and messages of "ending the cycle" is still willing to do this, why wouldn't Fire who has none of those? He just wants to survive. He clearly hasn't caught up with how well Nothing and Feather have actually been doing and believes the only way he can keep all three of them safe and fed is capturing a pride Edit: this comment did not age well
I think a quote from the price of egypt that would fit this scenario would be from Seti. "Moses... Sometimes for the greater good, sacrifices must be made."
I have to admire Fire’s principles. He has always followed the rules, so I’m not surprised that he still wanted to get a pride of his own. But can we appreciate the fact that he specifically chose a pride with no cubs? If he lowered his standards, he might have gotten a pride before. Good on you Fire. I know Feather has an issue with Fire calling her sister, but they have been apart for so long all he can remember is how much pain that name brought her. Calling her sister is his way of saying he values her as his family, not for her physical prowess. And I know he snapped at his sister, but he almost died and dropped it immediately afterwords. We can only wait and see if those principles hold in the next episode.
As long as the characters and writing stays consistent I will have no complaints. I will say that they did sort of foreshadow a potential fall from Innocence/Idealism for Fire. We have to remember that Nothing, Feather, and Fire have been traveling in the wastes without a real home for months. Feather is young so he is able to adapt faster than his older peers. Fire was much more idealistic when he was younger but he has watched his friends die or be chased away after a childhood where he watched his family fall to the cycle of Pride Law. What he did this episode so far was pretty expected. If he continues to adhere to Pride Law, he is going to attack Feather. If his Idealism and love for his Sister wins out, all 3 will go out into the wastes together. Another aspect the Knee Jerk Fire haters are ignoring is that the Huntresses of Barkmane's pride pretty much told Fire to kill Feather or else they won't accept him as their new leader. The Huntresses want to apply Pride Law just as Fire wanted to apply Pride Law in order to gain control of that Pride. So, it all comes back down to Pride Law and its cruelty now that we know of its true origins in the story. Blind Lite Haters once again cannot seem to comprehend what the source of all these cruelties are coming from, the spat between the Goddesses.
I find him a really interesting character. I kniw he loves Nothing, but I have a bad feeling about him, especially because of the "Next time, you do as I say" line. But even if he becomes an antagonist, I'll still love his character because I understand how pride law and his time on the stretch corrupted him. I'm just interested to see where this goes.
_"You need a pride. And I'm making sure you get one."_ Can we just appreciate how Nothing is basically Feather's mom at this point and how wholesome that is. qvq Especially when Feather said, " _I didn't do it for him_ ", after jumping right in front of Nothing to protect her. I don't care how it keeps being discarded that Nothing isn't his mother, and I don't care if she's not his mother by blood. It doesn't take blood to be a mother(or father). It takes care, patience, and _love_ . She practically raised him as her son. And I find that absolutely precious and adorable, my heart is invested in these two's bond. 💛
And let's not forget the cub she is raising as her own is the son of the mane who killed her father. Nothing never held a single grudge against Feather for it and it's admirable to me. It's easy to say it's common sense and that Feather is just a cub but it's usually not as simple as that and Nothing truly is selfless for this
Nothing actually shows clear signs of PTSD now, which is so realistic. Quickmane killed her father when she was just a CUB. She was so young when she had to watch him kill Starmane. Now the consequences show themselves in form of PTSD, which in turn shows how messed up Pride Law truly is.
i know this sounds weird but i like seeing normal menatal problems come from trauma in cartoons i mean its wayy to common to see a character go through something really traumatic and be able to brush it off like meh its good to see the true effects of trauma
And since Fire ran off during that event he can't really understand what she's going through, he wasnt there when it happened. He only saw the aftermath of his father and brothers deaths, and his sister's injury. He didn't experience it firsthand like Nothing had to, which may explain why he seemed to lash out like he did when she froze up. Not realizing what was going through her head
The part when feather litterally fought like nothing did when she was a cub was so emotional, i cried. Edit:OMG, thank you so much for 3,3k likes! You guys are the best!
Y’all fire is scaring me. I bet he’s gonna try. Did you see how he looked at nothing when she didn’t help him. He’s definitely gonna try and kill poor feather
I WAS JUST THINKING THAT!! Like he might seriously consider it, but what made it even crazier was just how feather is already not feeling fire already but wow stuff popped offf! Though i wonder why this pride doesn't have cubs
@@dabriaaspen7343 maybe some of the lions, can't have cubs. Or theey just didn't "you know". ALSO I THINK HE WILL TRY, MAYBE CAUSE AN "ACCIDENT", WHILE NOTHING ISN'T LOOKING.
Yes! For some reason I have the feeling he killed Tangle, maybe because he was in his way to take the pride... the way he tries to avoid talking about him is kinda suspicious for me... idk maybe there is something wrong with me...
The one that I feel bad for most is Feather because he didn't want to kill or help someone be killed. The creators and voice actor does such a good job of showing it on Feather expression and voice after attacking the mane to protect Nothing. It shows that he was terrified after what he done and didn't like one bit of it.
Remember when Feather was all like: I'm gonna be the toughest No-Mane in the world and have a million prides? He changed so much, that’s what I call character developement.
Oh shoot I think Fire is Lite's reincarnation, so it's Nothing's destiny to kill him unless she can end the cycle 1. His name is Fire. Lite was Sunce's chosen one, and Sunce *burned* down the Emerald Valley. You know, with fire. 2. I am assuming the reincarnation has to be one of the males we already know (unless it's a huntress instead), so that would leave us with Proudmane, Feather, or Fire. Proudmane is a good (evil) candidate but he was left behind. I don't think its Feather either. 3. At the beginning of the first episode there's a shot of Nothing and her siblings sid by side when they're being told the stories about the Goddesses. The three goddesses are behind the three cups; Cansu is behind Nothing, Sunce is behind Fire, and Asra is behind the sibling who ends up killed in the episode. -We already know of Nothing's connection with Cansu. She's literally met her. -Asra is the goddess of death; the sibling associated with her dies. -So since these other two seem like foreshadowing, would it really be a stretch to claim that Fire is associated with Sunce, too? Perhaps being his *chosen one* from a previous life? fiml theor y
Feather’s now become my favorite because of his sense of reason and morality. You really see that he does want to bring about change and amend Pride Law, and how he perceives Nothing’s cognomen as so much more than what her mother had in mind when she gave it to her. It reminds me of what Rain told her in episode 6: “Scars mean you went through something tough in the past, survived it, and came back stronger. Out on the stretch we respect that."
Feather is still young and is pretty much near the same age Fire was at when Fire was hanging out with his fellow younger no Manes for survival. The Fire we see now is one that has experienced months alone and fighting for his survival. In a world where the only opportunities to be "on top" following the laws ordained by a god like authority figure, it looks every more attractive and thus Fire's idealism growing up has taken major hits. If Feather were to be driven out away from Nothing and forced to live alone in the wild, would he change? Would he realize why Fire made the decisions he made? Or would he stubbornly hold to his idealism and likely die like many who do not conform? We know that Nothing has Plot armor because she is a "Chosen one" Feather? I think he may be Lite's reincarnation, but we don't know for sure yet. He certainly doesn't know if he is Lite or not either.
@@Shiftshapercat Eh, nothing isn't that protected at all. She simply is a lioness with PTSD. She had made some pretty nasty choices too. She has always been a bit flaky, and she even decided to kill another lion to survive.
@@kateajurors8640 He didn't "make fun of" Fire for being a no-mane, he made the very logical point that Fire can't protect them from anything as a no-mane.
8:51 The "I didn't do it for him" part always made me "see something" First: Fire didn't run to Nothing like Feather did to check on her, he just start screaming in anger and he doesn't even know the reason why she was paralised. Second: Nothing thinks Feather kill Barkmane for saving Fire's life when Third: "I didn't do it for him", exactly, his primary concern is Nothing, they are a team and when Barkmane had Fire killed, he would see Nothing, she was the next one. Feather just helped because Nothing would have being killed. Plus: 8:59 Feather seeing Fire's true colors.
"Nobody gets hurt." Everybody got hurt or was nearly to it. Nothing got a flashback, Fire got scratched up, Barkmane died, Moonstrike and her pride lost their mane and especially Moonstrike is grieving, Feather maybe gonna die.
@nothing_art I love that! He got like a few seconds of screen time but through Fire's explaintion that he escaped once because he was let go shows that Barkmane is ready to give a warning and not kill at first sight and through Moonstrick we learn that he has been loved and we also see that duality again that the mane is the leader but is dependent on the followship of his huntresses and they can decide to put on condition or chase him away. Through that alone they spark out interest in a character that we'll never see again. It shows that all of them have their lives, struggles, loved ones and moralities they live by. I hope Fire decides not to try and kill Feather. He might decide otherwise because he has been isolated for a long time (remember him talking about how hard it was for him) and he might be affraid to loose his grap on the chance to have some stability again. Additionally he might still feel this adrinalin anger towards Nothing because of his near death experience. But I hope he decides otherwise. He has shown that he still cares about Nothing. He might be thankful for Feather saving him and the last thing that is missing to realize his mistake (in my opinion) is that killing the mane was still an awful act even when it's in the pride law. He has to realize how awful this law is and that even if you think you can minimize the trauma, the hurt and the damage, the laws are so constructed that lion's will always suffer. Either by being outcastes, killed or forced to kill in order to life happy for awhile. This would fit him and make it really interesting on how the three of them will handle their outchast state.
Feather is really starting to grow on me. The fact that he doesn’t want to kill or fight another lion is interesting, considering the fact that he was born into pride law and that wanting to be king of a pride should just be natural for a lion to want.
I agree and I feel bad for him. Feather’s dad (Quickmane) died because Proudmane killed him due to his desire of leading the pride. He probably didn’t want the cycle to repeat. He knew that no-manes killing manes just to lead a pride is what makes people lose the ones they love. Honestly pretty sad.
@@hariengradford2699 Lite's incarnation doesn't necessarily HAVE to be for Pride Law. Feather was for Pride Law until his dad and sisters died, but before that, he was excited to become a Mane. If he hadn't been personally affected, who knows?
I can see both sides of all of their arguments, Feather not wanting Nothing's name to change, Fire wanting to help her get rid of the name that caused her so much pain. Both of them have a reason for wanting her name to stay the same or change but in the end it's up to Nothing what she sees it as. It's no surprise Fire doesn't know her as well either, it's been months since they last spoke so he's missed a lot while also trying to live in a world that forced him out without knowing how to truly live just survive. And the whole getting mad at Nothing for not helping him, it's a genuine to reaction to almost dying when you were relying on your loved one to help you. She said she would help, she froze in fear which is okay, it's normal she's been traumatized by the death of her father that Fire wasn't there to see because he ran. Both of them are realistic and it's nice to see he isn't some jerk, he clearly loves Nothing and wants her to be safe but also has to worry about not getting cast out again where he may not survive again. I'm so excited to see how this season concludes.
Thank you! So many people are ganging up against Fire getting mad at Nothing freezing up, but his life was in danger and she didn't help him when he relied on her. Fire didn't see, as a cub, what Nothing had done or been through, bc he ran off. He doesn't know her trauma. I'm not saying Fire's a great person, I'm saying he's a well written character with plenty understandable motivations. Edit: I stand by what i said here but as of ep 10 uh Yeah fuck you fire i liked you >;(
Quite correct. Though this may change as although it seems Fire does not want to kill cubs so no one can get hurt like his brother he seems to be unsure of Feather, likely due to his older age now, and seems to want to keep him alive for Nothing.
I am wondering if Fire and Feather taking the mane down together counts as a loophole. But it might just make things worse to reveal that. I just remember the phrase "fair combat" being mentioned when Quickmane took down Starmane. Help from Feather might be cheating.
As a person who suffers from PTSD and anxiety attacks. That was great way of portraying how we (other ppl suffering) feel. Showing bravest character freeze in fear unable to move really shows what we go through Great writing. Loved that all characters have flaws. And that tension of Nothing fighting for her loved one, gives me Kioga fighting against Lite vibes

@@ArchTeryx00 Fr. I just hate the fact that fire was so caught up in trying to become leader of a pride, that he forgot about what happened to his sister, and the trauma she went through.
It’s so interesting that Fire wants to work within the system to help himself and Nothing, he sees his experience with the system as the problem, but not the system himself. Feather went through essentially the same thing, and he sees the system as the problem. They’re cool foils for each other, and it’s a good spot to put Nothing in to see which way she chooses. Work within the system for the life she wants, or work to undo it. It’s cool if you go back, you can see this coming. Fire always calling her “sister”, thinking his mother’s cruel name was the issue, thinking he has to be a mane for her to have another name, the line “Fire always follows the rules” in the first episode, like wow, this was set up really well. I absolutely expect him to make Feather leave, or else he’ll kill him.
It's interesting that they put Nothing in the middle of it. A lionness who has had the worst and best of the system! She survived mane attack as a cub because of the system but lost her love and was tormented and reduced to being Nothing because of it. She knows the good and safety it provides and aspires towards it while at the same time knowing that she'd never be safe in such a place because they'd reduce her to Nothing once more.
I am disabled and suffer from ptsd and anxiety attacks. The way you wrote and animated this entire series but especially the death of Barkmane, is amazing. This series has been so heart warming to me. I know so many can relate and connect with Nothing so I'm not alone in this sea of many voices, but I wanted to say my peace about it. I have been following you since like, episode 3 of cotw. You've grown so much as an artist and a writer, and you're just as inspiring to me as Nothing is. Thank you so much for this series on top of COTW. Your work has made my life just a little bit brighter. Its dumb how sometimes you find something little like a TV show or comic that gives you something to live for. Like "ok I have to live through this next month so I can see what happens next." Idk I'm starting to ramble haha. I love you tribble. You're amazing.

Can we take a long pause. To appreciate the work and effort that these wonderful peopel are putting into making this show. Like I really wanna give tribbleofdoom a. Box o chocolates and a rose as a thank you for this wonderful series.
I was reading the comments about Fire being different and going to kill feather but honestly, his facial expressions and reactions weren’t malicious or as extreme as initially conveyed. He chose a pride specifically without cubs, and he defended Feather. Its sad but understandable that Fire got upset with Nothing as he was probably feeling an adrenaline rush and anger from almost being killed. If he truly didnt care then i think he would have abandoned them and not given her or feather a chance of joining his pride, in addition you can see his conflicted expression when she says he’ll have to kill feather, at the end of the conversation you could see the Huntress smiling cause she knew Fire would have trouble doing it
I think that he might say that they can't join the pride and tell them that they need to leave this pride. I also think that he won't kill Feather, but I don't think that they will let him stay.
Now that I think about it, this might be the point of next episode. I don't think Fire will try to attack Feather, but instead he will just not allow him to join the pride. The problem occurs when we think about what Nothing is going to do. On one hand, she can join her brother's pride, have a peaceful life, but she will be forced to leave Feather behind. On the other hand, she can leave with Feather, because they are close and she wants to help him, but that means she has to leave her brother behind. It's very hard decision in my opinion.. I also have a small theory but I'm still not... convinced let's say. I had a thought about this reincarnation thing. If Fire would be reincarnation of Lite, it makes things more intrestiing. So Kyoga left Lite for Karabi and he was mad for that. In this scenerio, Nothing leaves Fire for Feather and Fire gets angry. I'm still not convinced if Fire IS reincarnation of Lite, but it would be intresting if it was true.
Yes, we most definitely can. Can we also appreciate the voice actor aging Fire's attack roar when he was hunting? It's different in the finished episode than in the preview.
Actually I believe I read the actor is trans, and that Feather's character is very close to him, and he is transitioning and growing up with his character (: !!
Me when Feather first appeared: "Oh jeez, this kid is gonna be so freaking annoying. Hope he doesnt stick around." Me at episode 9: "Feather is precious and wonderful and I want only good things for him."
Yeah he was dodging the topic of Tangle a lot. I mean they were good friends, sure it could be passed off as being too heartbroken to talk about it but... idk it's just sus. I guess we'll just have to see. If he tries to kill Feather next episode then that'll show that he was completely capable of killing Tangle.
Feather instantly knew that Nothing needed comforting after the fight, he knows Nothing much better than Fire does whom instantly yells at her for freezing up. Fire doesn't even consider Feather his half brother like Nothing does. I'm not saying Fire is evil, just disconnected. Edit: I got it wrong Feather isn't a half brother oop- also I'm not saying Fire doesn't have a right to be angry with Nothing, of course he does. I'm just saying he was really struggling to hold back blowing up at her
I mean I get you and all but he had that pent up adrenaline from almost drying so I mean, it's hard to be sensitive when you were just in a life or death situation lol.
Honestly the situation is messed up from all sides. Fire just doesnt want to die, and get the thing he lost when his dad was killed. He even gies out of his way to pick a pride without Cubs. Nothing wants feather to be ok, and to be with her family. Feather wants to be with nothing and not to have to kill another nor participate in pride law. And the new hunt chief is like, you just killed my mate non legit and I want it to be worth it. You got a cub to help and letting him stay invalidates my mates death. You just feel for everyone here.
I think Ghost is serving in Azra’s place, but he doesn’t have her power. He instead allows all the spirits to live within him until Azra returns. This is why Ghost refers to themselves as ‘we’.
I mostly believe that Ghost is a vessel for dozens on dozens of Lion spirits within him that can’t go to heaven because of Azra’s disappearance. And not only that Ghost was mimicking Tangle, but it was actually Tangle talking through Ghost
Remember how Azra had a mortal mate. What if they had a cub together. And that cub grew up and had a cub and so on until ghost was born. Meaning ghost is a descendent of Azra, which would justify this theory as ghost would have a small portion of Azras power to take in the dead spirits or at least communicate with them.
Fire has a couple options: -Kill the chief huntress who opposes him (she was mated to the previous mane, Fire doesn't have to follow her rules as Pridemane didn't follow PowerStrike's) -Turn on Feather (who he has no real tie to) which probably leads to Nothing protecting him and turning on Fire. -Fake turning on Feather and chase him out, with Nothing most likely going with him. - There is a chance that Hover and the other's come upon the issue of Fire appearing to chase off or planning to kill Feather with Nothing fighting at Fire in confusion at the betrayal. I doubt Fire will get a true chance to kill Feather, even if he plans to kill him. Unfortunately, Feather is right to distrust Fire and claim to the pride the fact that he too helped to kill the mane.
@@uhhh-justarandomsandwich.4170 I feel like being cousins won't be enough to say that they're related. Feather might have to be directly connected to Fire and Nothing in order to not get chased out.
@@MythicalTissue Like you said they are related but I'm afraid that their bond isn't as strong so he will most likely oust Feather. But he shouldn't because of the looks of it Feather looks like he is most likely a sub adult cause he is starting to grow a mane and the pride would be for Fire and Feather because both if them defeated the mane of the pride which would not be fair to oust feather.
@@TA-jf7yq According to Pride Law, what Feather and Fire did is against it. That wasn't a fair fight, if the pride that Fire is trying to claim finds out about it Feather will be killed. Chased out if he's lucky. Same thing for Fire too.
Feather let’s get you back the ............ STRECH LETS RIDE ON THE CLOUD OF DARKNESS ..... cloud of poop? Darko Poopo I think it’s darkness I’m gonna hope it’s darkness
There probably wasn't enough food in general on the stretch. Plus two grown lions... big difference between Feather and Nothing. Feather was still a cub at the time when him and Nothing were on the stretch. Barely enough food for those two. And if there ain't enough food on the stretch for a lioness and a cub, there definitely not going to be enough food for two grown lions. Plus Tangle was probably sharing his food with Fire and probably pretending things were going to be ok. But things went down hill.

it sounds like tangle took care of fire while he was injured at the cost of his own health, tangle seems like the kind of guy to pretend he's okay when he actually isn't just so he can look after his friend
Honestly think Lite is Fire, The way he speaks and act just reminds me a lot of Lite, he had similar cracks in his voice when speaking, sudden burst of anger and when he’s nervous he does things similar to Lite, he just reminds me of him in a way.
Hopefully we see them tomorrow but really hoping fire doesn’t kill feather thus possibly leading to nothing protecting him and fighting fire would be interesting to see

This series really has us asking : "Will he do it?" That's some great character writing there, when you genuinely don't know what the character will decide is right and wrong. Just like real people these characters are constantly evolving and scared they won't make the right choice. They have genuine reactions and genuine consequences for there own actions. Amazing!
@@tribbleofdoom I also know how it feels and looks, flashbacks are a horrible thing to experience so I must thank you personally as well, for showing this as close to the things we can expect during a PTSD attack.
It also does not matter that quickmane and water Hunter our feathers parents there's always something stronger than blood and nothing knows that she never gave him up to slaughter like water Hunter would do she stayed and protected him no matter what
Feather was not happy. Feather also fought a mane and won as a cub just like Nothing did. This is interesting. Those lionesses were beautiful though I will say that.
To be fair, it's shown in the end of episode 8 that she's in denial about what Cansu showed her, convincing herself it was just a dream. In the end of episode 10, she does realize it was real, though.
Its ironic. Feather siad if a no mane attacked he'd do similar to Nothing, which she ripped the hell out of Quickmanes eye and face. Which is what he did with Barkmane when he was saving Fire.
I am saddened but unsurprised to see Fire's idealism growing up die with the harshness and loneliness of his life as a nomad watching his friends die/betray each other. Its like I keep seeing a "golden path" that would be good for all the main characters we have grown to like, but I have to keep reminding myself that this show isn't that kind of show. Almost every single character, once they grow up, have visible flaws, flaws in a way that make them more relatable.
in one of the previous episodes, lite was the only living one to tell the story, somehow i’m getting the same vibe from fire talking about tangle not making it.
I honestly think Feather is more supportive and understanding than Fire. He saw Nothing’s name not as a bad name, but something that describes her-nothing stands in Nothing’s way. However, Fire wanted to change it. And Feather also went and comforted her after she had flashbacks of Starmane’s death, but Fire only snapped at her. He also said “I didn’t do it for him” when Nothing said he saved Fire’s life. He also glared at Fire when he snapped at Nothing. This means that he did it for Nothing, not Fire. He knew how much Fire meant to Nothing. He’s a great little guy. Definitely one of my fav characters!
He saw Nothing's name as bad because the last time he saw her she hated that name. He was being a good brother. Also Fire has every right to snap at Nothing in that situation. She could have killed him by freezing like that. He said "Do as I say next time" because he doesn't want there to be another time where he gets into a life threatening situation and she freezes again and he doesn't get lucky and survive. Because she might also die in a situation that way too.
Spoiler warning! I almost broke out crying when I heard Tangle didn't make it. He'll always be in our hearts Also, can we talk about aftermath of the fight? Fire's reaction, no matter how harsh it will sound, didn't surprise mé that much. I mean, he was almost killed... Again. I wouldn't even think about blaming Nothing for her freeze though. It's just that I understand why he was upset. I'd be to if I counted on someone in life threatening situation and they wouldn't do anything. It's natural in my opinion. But then he said that "next time, just do what I say." Now that's what I didn't expect. Maybe he was still in shock, but hearing his lower voice and seeing him take a deep breath and pause... Yeah, I doubt it. Maybe this "no-mane phase" really did change him. Maybe it messes with most of no-manes. That's propably why they are so terrified of killing manes and, sometimes, a little cubs. All they want is just peace and company after cruel months of isolation. It was propably obvious, but I just wanted to say it anyway. Can't wait for the last episode to come out tomorrow!!
@@esticvolantamart Before I wrote this who knows how long analysis about no-manes, there was only that short mention of Tangle. Propably that's what they reacted to
Every episode just gets better and better, the animation, sound design and voice acting in this is phenomenal. Absolutely my favorite series on RUclips rn, I love Feather so much!
Geez Fire changed so much Also, not only is the animation great, the storyline is amazing, and it shows that the writer isn't afraid of putting something there that might upset the audience. There are gradual changes that the audience can accustom to, and they will accept that change even if one of the main characters die. [I wish I could write like this it's phenomenal]. Great story 👍
I feel like people are ignoring a huge part of Fire’s interactions regarding Feather. He’s almost nervous. Instead of being all playful like the last time he met Fire, he’s very aloof towards him. He almost doesn’t seem to acknowledge that he’s there. “You know what it’s like to be alone on the stretch.” Nothing says “actually I’m not alone because I have Feather”. He sort of dismisses it with “you know what I mean”. I feel like he’s being really weird around Fire, and I think that’s foreshadowing what will happen in the next episode. I feel like he’s hiding something. His smile falls around 5:11 and I think that might be telling that he knows Feather is suspicious of him. I guess the only other explanation behind the awkward dialogue regarding the two of them may be because Fire was the reason Feather’s father was killed? But even then, I think Feather is a mature enough character to not blame him for that scenario. I dunno, just some stuff I saw that wasn’t getting talked about!
THANK YOU. FINALLY SOMEONE WHO ACKNOWLEDGES THIS. THATS WHY I DIDNT LIKE FIRE IN THIS EP. HE IS SO HIDING SOMETHING. I also think this is being over looked. Not only that but fire didn't even say thank you to feather. But to be fair. He isn't straight up trying to kill feather when the hunt chief told I'm to kill feather. He hesitates. So he just really needs to work on his flaws. But still dude, stop acting like feather isn't there, this MADE me so agitated when he was acting like that. Like what did feather ever do to you. Also he kinda avoided the conversation about tangle. He so either killed tangle or left him to die. Something like. Feather is so mature now. I'm proud of him!
I am pretty sure those are actually the traditional words. He also might have just been relieved and a little shaky at his near death experience and he was happy (or so he thought) to be able to be safe again.
@@morningrosie3684 what i meant was i felt like it made it seem like he saw them as objects idk like he didnt care that he was killing there mane/mate he only cared that theyed belong to him soon
Actually, Fire could've lied and said Feather was his brother. Male lions who get the boot from their birth pride often form coalitions, or rather groups with their cousins or brothers, or other male lions and they work together to take over the pride by defeating the current male or in this series the 'mane'. They will often have a dominant male and the others subordinates. Fire could/can defeat Feather in the battle for dominant male, but often this does not result in death except when they get... carried away, or the other just refuses to stop fighting and ends up dead. A coalition often consists of 2 or 4 male lions, which give extra protection for the pride and less a chance for other rival males to win.
“My pride is not suitable for children…” Me who reads books with so much blood it’s like a full river: step aside, i have found a worthy challenger and I shall keep its skull in my treasure room!
We also address one of the parts of pride law that got overlooked! How much power the lionesses actually hold. While they give power to the mane in an unfair amount they do so with blind trust in the system. That said they all seem to know that they have the power to leave, as well as take away the Mane's power should be not suit them in its entirety. 10 Lionesses could easily kill one mane and remain alone for some time. That said the mane could still attempt to kill the neigh sayers. The entirety of pride law is held together by such a thin strand, it is made of nothing but blind trust in the system and if that ever breaks it ends
I genuinely don’t know what is gonna go down in the finale tomorrow, and that’s fucking fantastic. Kudos to the writers of this series! I’ll be so excited for the next episode
I think Nothing would protect feather if fire try’s to attack him, in my imagination it would be like that: “Fire, can’t u see? U basically is acting like Quickmane!” “What..?” “U killed the mane of this pride in the same way Quickmane killed ur father” “B-but-“ “And now u wanna kill feather, like Quickmane did to Spark! I don’t wanna let u become an Quickmane 2 or something else, I wanna u to become a respected mane!” “But sister, I need tho...” “Fine, but if u wanna touch him, u need to defeat me first...”
Well, with good reason. He is the only one out of the three who didn't make some terrible experiances regarding Pride Law. Nothing watched her dad and brother being killed in front of her and Feather had to learn that the same happend to his dad and both his littermates. Yes Fire lost Starmane and Spark like Nothing, but he didn't get into such close contact with it like Nothing did. Fire always lived on believing that this is what he has to do to survive. Nothing had a trauma and Feather enraging hate ever since.
When fire was first talking about Tangle’s death and him quickly speaking when saying how he died was the first thing that made me think it was something a little more than lack of food and water
Yeah and I think this advice means something, you remember the advice Karabi told Kyoga « what do u want you ? Not your kingdom nor Lite YOU » and I kinda see at the same time in Feather : Karabi and Nothing, nothing when he hold on into the eyes of the mane. I think Fire is the reincarnation of Lite. He acted selfish when he told Nothing what did u do I could have died you’ll do next time what I ask u to do now let’s go claim my pride. He is acting selfish like Sunce’s chosen : Lite. I don’t think Feather will survive... I think he will die like Karaki does and Nothing will maybe kill her brother or half brother cuz I’m not sure...
Feather at 8:50 is so amazing! it's clear that he realizes that he just helped kill someone and he looks traumatized from it, but even still he manages to say "I didn't do it for him." He did what he did to help Nothing's brother because it is what Nothing wanted, and in doing so, he may have saved her life because if the mane realized that she was there, he might have killed her after he killed Fire. The look on his face though says more than any words ever could about how he felt from what he had done.
And even if they suppose that Feather is Nothing's cub, he's still Fire's blood, since he would be Feather's uncle. Come to think of it, how far do they take the term 'your blood'? Do they mean just cubs or other relations too?
@@ellaadair By “your blood” they’re talking about lineage. Basically saying “the cub isn’t yours, so it isn’t passing on your bloodline.” Which is why Manes kill all of the young Cubs of the previous Mane to assure that the future blood of the Pride belongs to the new one and strengthens his claim as leader.
When Fire said "what is wrong with you?" someone on the TV said "what is wrong with you?" at the exact same time (my sister's watching TV rn) and it was just a really funny coincidence.
If I am being honest, Feather seems more of a brother than Fire. I understand Fire hasn’t spent time with her, or any other family so he doesn’t know how to completely treat her. I understand that he also needed her in the fight, and she froze. I applaud him for not attacking her. But I am sad that he doesn’t notice that she was terrified. Feather did. He went to comfort her, he knew she was scared and froze. Fire of all people know what nothing’s been through. If Fire comes to the conclusion of attacking Feather, Nothing would most likely protect Feather. She wouldn’t try and kill Fire because she knows Fire deserves to lead a pride. Nothing would probably take Feather and leave. Nothing understands hardships of others, which is why I love her character. She lost her sibling and father infront of her as a cub. Her mother found a new mate, and made a new family. Her mothers mate attacked her and hated her. Her brother was driven away. Nothing was given a name that didn’t show what she was capable of. She was driven out of her birth pride. She left her best friend. She was told to give up on her step-brother, and leave him dead. She finds her brother, and after a few minutes together he scolds her and reminds her of a traumatic moment in her life. Her brother might kill someone who is dear to her. I just think Fire should of comforted her too. I won’t lie, I’d yell at my sibling if they watched me get attacked and didn’t help. But he knows she went through a lot as a child, he did too. But he isn’t reminded of it everyday by a face scar. Nothing is, she try’s to not remember. But in that moment she saw the very thing she was prettified of, and her brother didn’t comfort her or make her feel better, but instead scolds her and walks away. Feathers a real one, he walks over, stares at her, knows somethings wrong, and comforts her. You can tell when Feather saw Nothing frozen he wanted to comfort her. Fire didn’t even notice, that’s the sad part. Fire is less of a brother to Nothing than Feather.
Tune in tomorrow at 1pm EST for Episode 10!

OH MY GOOOOOOOODDDDDDD!!! :D
I really like feather he understands that nothing is still dealing with memories and right after saving fire he immediately went to comfort nothing
That's what I like about feather too he did what he had to do to protect nothing even though in is heart he didn't want to but he really had no choice what really was heartwarming was how he comfort her knowing that she still traumatized by her father and brother's deaths that made me love feather even more as a character
I agree
Me too
he didn't attack Barkmane to save Fire. He says so himself.
WHY DID HE KILL HIM 😭😭😭
Okay, but I really like how Fire is written.
Boy wanted a pride and choose one who had NO CUBS because he took in consideration how it affected him and his sister.
i like how they don’t write the characters as one dimensionally evil, and add more layers to them
@@unchartedraider7547 exactly. Not to mention that it's understandable in general. He has the same way of thinking we heard from Nothing earlier and why wouldn't he? If even Nothing with those visions and messages of "ending the cycle" is still willing to do this, why wouldn't Fire who has none of those? He just wants to survive. He clearly hasn't caught up with how well Nothing and Feather have actually been doing and believes the only way he can keep all three of them safe and fed is capturing a pride
Edit: this comment did not age well
OMG is fire going to be Evil? And rip tangle😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Your right he took his time for calming down he doesn't want to hurt his sister.
Thank you, someone who isnt just blindly disliking Fire
Yes!! Finally someone in the comments who respects him well
I find him a really interesting character. I kniw he loves Nothing, but I have a bad feeling about him, especially because of the "Next time, you do as I say" line. But even if he becomes an antagonist, I'll still love his character because I understand how pride law and his time on the stretch corrupted him. I'm just interested to see where this goes.
Fire: "nO cUbS, NoBoDy hAs tO gEt HuRt"
Moonstrike: I'm about to ruin this man's whole -career- plan
LOL
Moonstrike: Kill it or else no pride
Where at?
_"You need a pride. And I'm making sure you get one."_
Can we just appreciate how Nothing is basically Feather's mom at this point and how wholesome that is. qvq Especially when Feather said, " _I didn't do it for him_ ", after jumping right in front of Nothing to protect her.
It's easy to say it's common sense and that Feather is just a cub but it's usually not as simple as that and Nothing truly is selfless for this
I feel like she sees him as a little brother.
@@minisarge2619 me too. But I won't say Feather sees her as an older sister
@@LanaKir3767 I dont think he sees her as a mother, mostly because they treat each other as equals for the most part

And Spark. Her own brother

The one that I feel bad for most is Feather because he didn't want to kill or help someone be killed. The creators and voice actor does such a good job of showing it on Feather expression and voice after attacking the mane to protect Nothing. It shows that he was terrified after what he done and didn't like one bit of it.

Yeah besides that, unrelated bachelor males do run prides together
@Wildsaver 5820 Where did you talk about Embermane? I do not remember that he was mentioned anywhere in the series.
Oh shoot I think Fire is Lite's reincarnation, so it's Nothing's destiny to kill him unless she can end the cycle

THIS IS GENIUS FOSNKFBDKSBD

Second: Nothing thinks Feather kill Barkmane for saving Fire's life when

@nothing_art I love that!

@@ilovemyprideitsamazing9749 Calm down I don't think so :) He is too important for the story.
Feather is really starting to grow on me. The fact that he doesn’t want to kill or fight another lion is interesting, considering the fact that he was born into pride law and that wanting to be king of a pride should just be natural for a lion to want.
"Feather is really starting to grow on me"
Fire: not much longer
I agree and I feel bad for him. Feather’s dad (Quickmane) died because Proudmane killed him due to his desire of leading the pride. He probably didn’t want the cycle to repeat. He knew that no-manes killing manes just to lead a pride is what makes people lose the ones they love. Honestly pretty sad.
This proves Feather isn't lite because he is against pride law
@@hariengradford2699 Lite's incarnation doesn't necessarily HAVE to be for Pride Law. Feather was for Pride Law until his dad and sisters died, but before that, he was excited to become a Mane. If he hadn't been personally affected, who knows?
feather is just like starmane who also didnt like violence he originally wanted to chase embermane out rather than kill him
I can see both sides of all of their arguments, Feather not wanting Nothing's name to change, Fire wanting to help her get rid of the name that caused her so much pain.
Love your description :)

If he truly didnt care then i think he would have abandoned them and not given her or feather a chance of joining his pride, in addition you can see his conflicted expression when she says he’ll have to kill feather, at the end of the conversation you could see the Huntress smiling cause she knew Fire would have trouble doing it
FINALLY!! Someone who gets it!!

I like how Nothing treats Feather like her cub 🥺💕
I think
THATS SUCH A UNIQUE AND TRUE IDEA didn’t think of it that way!
That’s such A GOOD IDEA WHY DIDN’T I THINK OF THAT THAT IS SOOO EPIC
I love how protective feather is when it comes to Nothing. It just proofs how much Nothing is like a mother to Feather.

Fire has a couple options:
-Kill the chief huntress who opposes him (she was mated to the previous mane, Fire doesn't have to follow her rules as Pridemane didn't follow PowerStrike's)
-Turn on Feather (who he has no real tie to) which probably leads to Nothing protecting him and turning on Fire.
Feather is technically in the bloodline- since waterhunter- but still atleast its a good plot point

Feather was still a cub at the time when him and Nothing were on the stretch. Barely enough food for those two.
Fire snapped at her because he almost died
He's my favorite as well
He saw Nothing's name as bad because the last time he saw her she hated that name. He was being a good brother. Also Fire has every right to snap at Nothing in that situation. She could have killed him by freezing like that. Also, can we talk about aftermath of the fight? Geez Fire changed so much
Also, not only is the animation great, the storyline is amazing, and it shows that the writer isn't afraid of putting something there that might upset the audience. There are gradual changes that the audience can accustom to, and they will accept that change even if one of the main characters die.
[I wish I could write like this it's phenomenal].
Great story 👍
oh my gosh thank you so much!!

Nothing watched her dad and brother being killed in front of her and Feather had to learn that the same happend to his dad and both his littermates. When fire was first talking about Tangle’s death and him quickly speaking when saying how he died was the first thing that made me think it was something a little more than lack of food and water
That moment when the little sibling character has actual advice instead of creating conflict:
Yea
I love how 9:03 feather's face is just don't yell at my mama ,I just love it so much
Feather at 8:50 is so amazing! it's clear that he realizes that he just helped kill someone and he looks traumatized from it, but even still he manages to say "I didn't do it for him." He did what he did to help Nothing's brother because it is what Nothing wanted, and in doing so, he may have saved her life because if the mane realized that she was there, he might have killed her after he killed Fire. The look on his face though says more than any words ever could about how he felt from what he had done.
"SISTER, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?" Fire, covered in a lot of blood
People in the premier: “ Omg! Only 4 minutes! “ “Can’t wait!”
Me: LET ME INNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Same, just same i was like that until it finally started
“a true mane doesn’t raise cubs who aren’t their blood” to be fair they’re cousins
*RiGhT?*
Waterhunter and powerstirke are sisters
Right? Nor did he raise Feather- Nothing did
And even if they suppose that Feather is Nothing's cub, he's still Fire's blood, since he would be Feather's uncle.
Feather is like a protective friend who is always there for you even though you did something bad
