Growing up as an 80's guy, I remember watching Carebears on Saturday mornings. Hello Kitty was notable as an early taste of Japan at a time when the anime/manga influence was not nearly as normalized. My favorite Kitty collab has to be the one with the Gundam anime lol, as there were even some animated shorts for the occasion lol.
