Hiking the Cascade Mountain in Banff

Cascade is arguably the most famous and "visible" mountain around the town of Banff. When I first saw Cascade about 8 years ago on my way to Banff, my first feelings were simply awe and fear. I wondered if someone would be stupid enough to try climbing this mountain (I hadn't even hiked a molehill at that time so my standards were a little less messed up 🙂).
After 3 years of hiking, running, swimming and biking, I finally gathered the courage to try hiking (not a climb as I thought earlier) Cascade. It still kicked my @$$ like nothing else and I was happy to return to the trailhead on my own legs. Here is how it went...
