    Daniil is such a solid player. He’s an easy one to bet on.
    However, I feel like it’s worth noting the fact that Dimitrov has improved so much over the past year and a half, coming back from the brink of extinction to now being a serious contender against anyone he plays. Lovely to see

      Even if dimitrov has variety I've never been convinced he concentrates on a game plan or adjusts mid match that well
      His backhand and movement are excellent. Forehand pretty good if not outstanding. The serve is the big problem.. as it somehow seems to buckle on an off day.

    So I'd really like to know why, anytime Medvedev is playing, next to his name in the score display, the network, the tour, whomever, refuses to display his countries flag but displays everyone else's? This is sports, not political, not economic, not war or warmongering, nothing but athletes competing at their highest levels. I find it repugnant and insulting that those in charge are so shallow, or woke, that they cannot bring themselves to honor this mans heritage in this arena. I don't believe I've ever heard, or heard of, Mr. Medvedev make a statement or disparaging comment of a political nature. Grow up network.

    • @garrusv
      @garrusv 6 месяцев назад +61

      Well, Michael, isn’t the concept of a flag political? The very nature of displaying flags in international sports is political, so if one of those nations is not acting politically kindly to a neighboring state, then the tour and /or the network - both apparatuses that operate within political spheres - absolutely have the right to make a political decision as they see fit.
      If you’re truly a proponent of making sport apolitical, then you should be arguing that no flags should be displayed for any player whatsoever. In that case, Olympics or the World Cup shouldn’t exist, as we’re just one apolitical human race, right? However, since all sport operates within an international realm of politics, like how all humans are subject to gravity, trying to remove politics from sports is futile.

      Then why didn't they ban Israel now???? Your logic is good, but your type of people talk about this when Russia invades. Can you tell me how many wars America launched and how many people got killed. I can refresh your memory if you want. Kuwait, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen.
      Do you want me to continue. And now tell how many times of this 7-8 wars American flag or American athletes were banned? I can refresh your memory here as well. Zero times. So America is allowed to invade but Russia not?????
