2 scenarios.
1. nintendo is freaking out, firing people, stopping production at that supply chain, scrambling to get set up for the reveal because the leaks were real.
2. laughing at the office because it was just some random 3d model and pcb that was completely fake.

It would be so funny if they leaked this on purpose and it’s completely wrong, because they wanted to punish all of the RUclipsrs for giving us blue balls 😂
What happened is probably a factory worker, based on previous leaks and stuff he had worked on, put together some renders and got access to photos of a very early prototype. The people confirming it probably didn't have access to actual renders of the console and just a list of its features so to them it seems legit.
God I hope they reveal it soon so these dumb leak videos can stop.

It would be odd if we don't get an announcement this month. We had a double direct on August and Nintendo has always had a September presentation each year during the Switch era. It would be weird if we got nothing.

The renders aren't fake according to the original poster they were a mock up made by the person who received the prototype based on what they had

I mean anyone who thought the 3D renders were real didn't understand what they were. It was never about them being "Real". Obviously they were CAD models, a mockup. If it came from the same person who took the photo's of the shell, it was likely a mockup made to show what the final assembled product should look like and people took it the wrong way. Others were claiming the shell was 3D printed because it looked rough, but a professional working with 3D Printing said that's just not possible, at least not in a way a hobbyist would be able to do. The shell is too perfect. The roughness is just from the fact that it's a year old prototype so it's probably been passed around a lot.
At this point I am getting kinda sick of hearing about switch 2 reveal....
Mark my words game cube or DS will be added to NSO and maybe a sneak teaser for switch 2 for Christmas 💯

Of course the Switch 2 will be an improved Switch, just like the Wii U or rather the New 3DS.
Maybe they won't even rename it. People did't even realize that the Wii U was a new console.
Maybe they also have a few exclusive titles, but I'd rather expect titles, which run well on Switch, but even better on Swtich 2.
Metroid Prime 4 will come out for Swtich, but if you want 60 FPS or better effects, you need the new Switch.
And people who complained about Paper Mario 2 having 30FPS will now also get the original framerate.
This is honestly what I am thinking. I don’t think it’s going to be as massive an upgrade as people think. I’m thinking it’s going to be like the move from the 3ds to the New 3ds.

@@totalmarh which... makes sense. because he's no longer with us (rest in peace, iwata) there's not a need for the next console to have a particular gimmick. he definitely had input on the switch, so i would expect a situation close to the gameboy advance where its really the same thing, but the games look better and have more depth to them, as well as improving on the previous generation.
