Demos usually have louder backing vocals and vocal effects, during the final product they're usual hidden but once you hear them you can't unhear them, at least that's been my experience.
i think on a podcast or somthing she explained that if she cant see the music video for her song, she will usally scrap it. tbh i dont see a music video for this version so thats probably why
