The Koshinage technique was also covered in a previous video in its basic form where Tori's lower back is placed under Uke's hip.
In the form presented in this clip, Tori's hip is placed under Uke's hip, in both cases it is important not to load or lift your partner when performing Koshinage but on the contrary to tip him into the void .
Care must be taken to keep a stable position by maintaining the Hanmi position which encompasses the whole body and not just the position of the feet, with your back firmly against your partner's abdomen.
Avoid joining and bending your knees so as not to lift your partner and on the other hand, injure yourself by straining your kneecaps as well as your anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments.
