Driving a 10 year old car with only one hand at 190 kmh and steering wheel not shaking, nothing cracking inside only the clear sound of the engine is heard ... that's pretty impressive. Old Cruze is much better then it's price actually says. I have 1.8 Cruze for 6 years now, It's cheap, comfortable, reliable and for sure one of the best looking car of the last decade.
@@Fucklesticks Every common 4 cylinder N/A engines are gutless, not just ecotec. But there's a high reliability advantage in that. My already have close to 220k km (around 136k miles) and it still doesn't burn oil which is yellow colored from changing to changing. Colleague from work have Skoda Rapid 1.4 turbo petrol and the engine was already on a complete overhaul even thou his car is some 5 years younger and have some 50k km less then my Cruze.
Chevrolet Europe shut down in 2017 (if I recall correclty). What happens with the servicing ? Otherwise this car is a gem, it is available in Greece too, used at good prices (like 6000 Euros / 120.000 km).

not really... I have the 1.8 LTZ automatic (fuel). 10 years, 125000km, not a single visit to the mechanic except for maintenance.... still rocking at 210 in the autobahn this summer (counter speed of course, real is always a little under that)
@ exactly!! I have 2.0td automatic purchased few months ago, that thing has got 145k yet I easily cruse at 160-170 in autobahn everyday without any issues!! I do almost 200kms per day!

Problem is those Ecotec N/A engines are gutless. ZERO low end torque.

Yes, but the 1.4T is IMHO where it is at, because of more accesible horsepower, 6 speed tranny and more horsepower overall.
@@worldhello1234 If you buy one with a 1.4 look out for issues with the PCV valve and cooling system. The turbos can also crack.

That’s the only problem!! If you need something to be done with GM it’s hard to find an authorized one. I had drive 200kms for the nearest one!!
