Her chapter of the anthology was absolutely fantastic and was the best segment in my opinion. A short film masterpiece that will stand the test of time. You really need to see it if you haven't.
It's funny, she plays such a young girl (her character can't be older than 16) so well that I assumed she was a child actor who was good at acting more mature than her age. Come to find out she's like 35!
@@NeuralNetProcessor And Billy Knapp said he'd "been busting trail for 15 years. 12 years with Mr. Arthur" so that made him twice the age of Alice Longabaugh. Best of the six episodes.
A brilliant actor. I'm not surprised by her thoughtfulness and humility.

A Coen film with a white lead? That's odd and like every one of their films
Quick question are you inferring that the Coens are racists? I love seeing diversity in film, but you don't want to force artists to shoehorn ideas into their stories; that will make for stilted material. If you want to champion more diversity in film start banging the drum for more behind the camera talent to be included, and that would include writers, and directors of color.
You can't go around demanding that ALL writers must subscribe to a certain way for a story to be told; once you start doing that you lose freedom of self expression then all art becomes kind of the same, but none of it is special, and therefore utterly soulless.
@@ladyshandbagorpurse6090 I'm just inferring their history of casting on a actors 1-7+ in their films being entirely or super majority white. But it's only going on 31 years now so let's wait and see. I didn't demand a thing in my comment. And even if their casting became a public issue to them they could keep doing what their doing and still get work despite it all. See Tim Burton

I understand what you were/are saying I just feel frustrated that yer obviously look'n to straight up deny the fact that what you initially said infers that what the Coens are doing is somehow morally wrong. Tell me something; what are u expecting out of two Jewish native Minnesotans from an upper middle class background!?
Not every white male creative can be David Simon, and btw his family (Simon's), the location he grew up in, and perhaps most importantly his background in journalism is what informed his ideas when initially conceiving "TheWire".
That show reflects what he learned from where he came from (Washington DC), his homelife, and writing for the Baltimore Sun for more than a decade. He became passionate about all of the issues TheWire broaches from what he learned living close to all of the injustice he decries in a tv series so great it stands side by side with Kieslowski's "Dekalog".
Simply put, you speak on behalf of a very loud very foolish vocal minority that has absolutely lost the plot lol!
Does there need to be more inclusion ABSOFUCKNLUTELY should the way it's achieved be at the expense of the social currency of brilliant artists who don't meet sum unnatainable criteria that's changing even as I write this!?
