- One of the best scenes from last night's Episode!!!!! Stefan wants his memory erased so he dosen't feel the pain anymore and Elena does not seem to happy about that. In the end, all she gets is Stefan's back because, in my opinion, that is all she deserves.

Its honestly painful to know at the end of this season stefan says “she’s the love of my life, I’d go back to her in a heartbeat” and then she chooses Damon which is something I’ll NEVER understand.

I understand. All vampires are cursed, some try to get rid of this. Stefan tries to become human by starting up with Elena -- but when she becomes a vampire, she is the cheapest versions of Katherine, so no surprise Elena chose Daimon. Stefan gets rid of vampireness by sacrificing himself in the end. Just like Jesus, by this Sacrifice he saves Elena and Daimon too and all of mankind. So Stefan is a main character.
Well as much as I love Delena I’m sure it was planned for Stelena to be endgame… but since Nina left the show early, they had to change the storyline and Delena had a bigger fandom and was more popular at that time so they went along with it

I'm with you Nikhitha Yeturu. She ended it with Stefan and the same day she was sleeping with his brother. Stefan and everybody else has sacrificed a lot to keep her safe but they are usually the one who ends up hurt. Me personally, when Stefan came back and wanted to start over she should've told him honestly about her feelings towards Damon, not that sugar-coated version, saying she didn't know. This just just gave stefan false hope. She knew, she was being like Katherine. She wanted both of them. At least Katherine was honest about it.

Then once he couldn't get what he wanted there, he went after his brother's girlfriend, who had already told him REPEATEDLY that she wanted to be with Stefan. There's nothing to sympathize with there. Just a guy who can't take no for an answer, who does not respect boundaries, and who won't get over his childish jealousy of Stefan.

A lot of people forget that Stefan‘s feelings are amplified when getting his heart broken so it’s not just a normal heartbreak that’s why he wanted to erase his memories because it hurt 10 times more than it would if he were human

She also didn't cheat on Stefan, she broke up with him first. Stefan had known about her growing affection for Damon for 2 seasons now. Elena did nothing wrong. She didn't want Stefan to erase his memories about her because their relationship is important to her and while he's hurting now, she wants to remain close friends with him in the future.

@@manasas868 I wouldn't erase any memories unless it was something traumatic like a rape. But a relationship that was essentially good - I would want to remember. However, Stefan can have a different approach and it's OK. But it's also normal for Elena to not want him to forget about her.

I like to think Rebekah does feel for Stefan on some level, she knows what it’s like to have someone who (supposedly) loves rip out your heart and stomp on it (her relationship with Alexander, that Brotherhood of the Five member) but despite her being able to relate to him on that level she won’t miss the opportunity to make him hurt the way she’s been hurt.
Stefan wanted to do the right thing. When Elena says no it indicates that she doesn't care that Stefan was suffering. I don't know but why would that matter to her. She had Damon. What did Elena expect? Stefan wanted to move on. But she expected him to live in pain when she was screwing Damon. So I doubt she even thought about it. Elena left Stefan for Damon. Elena put Stefan through so much heartbreak.
Elena didn’t leave Stefan for Damon, Stefan let her go because he knew she loved him, because he’d rather be alone than with someone who doesn’t love him. Elena does love Stefan, but she’s not in love with him, and she knew he’d regret having his memories erased later, and it wouldn’t change anything because she’d still be in his life as long as Damon was, and Stefan would never abandon his brother. Seriously, do you remember when he told her she loved Damon? He even said he didn’t blame her or hate her, he just wanted her to be honest with him and herself, something she couldn’t do at the time because she was still so desperate to save him and make sure he’s ok before she focused on her feelings

It’s the fact that Elena says she’s nothing like Katherine yet she loves both Damon and Stefan just like her. Lol this is so wrong. She didn’t switch brothers back and forth, she loved Stefan and was devoted to him, but he left her alone, and when he came back he was so focused on revenge he kept pushing her away or used her as a pawn in his plan. Meanwhile, Damon was there for her throughout all of that, being the friend she needed while her other friends delt with their own problems. What truly caused her to give up on Stefan was when he threatened to drive her off the bridge her parents died on after feeding her his blood, and it was all part of a plan to make Klaus blink. And before you say he wouldn’t have done it, keep in mind Damon, who knows Stefan better than anyone, had 0 clue as to wether or not he’d actually do it, and Stefan himself didn’t say he wouldn’t have done it when Elena asked, which should say all you need to know. Even later in the season, Stefan tells Elena he knows she loves Damon, while also telling her he knows she loves him despite everything he did to push her away, but he just wanted her to be honest with him and didn’t judge or hate her for it either. Was he upset? Yes, but he didn’t hate her or blame her. And it was Elena who finally made Stefan and Damon face their fractured relationship and become brothers again, closer than they ever were, and it’s because she believed Damon was worth loving. So I don’t understand this comment because it’s so wrong

I hate how the vampire diaries ended with all the characters having a shit ending. Bonnie losing the love of her life Enzo, Bonnie's friendship with Stefan ruined, Tyler Lockwood dead (killed by Damon), Matt losing his best friend, Stefan finally finds happiness with Caroline, gets killed off, Caroline losing him. Everyone immediately forgives Damon for killing Matt (even Bonnie) yet Bonnie can't forgive Stefan.... the only 2 who got happiness in the end was fkn Damon and Elena. The 2 most selfish people on the damn show. Hate Julie Plec. Never watching anything she writes again.
Stefan killed the person Bonnie loved. Humanity or not, that’s not something she’d forgive in a few days, and Matt NEVER stayed dead, so it’s not like Damon’s done any permanent damage. If I remember right, the only time he actually killed Matt was when he got Elena’s humanity back, and Matt was 100% fine with it because he was wearing that ring

At this point, I understood both parties. Damon finally gave Stefan an Eternal Pain by ending up with Elena and killed his friend Lexi. Elena, apparently instead of using communication when she was in a relationship with Stefan beds her ex's brother for all the faults, flaws, and pain he did to others. I mean I get it Stefan was epic but to be honest he wasn't entirely a saint because before all this started he was very curious about Elena looking like Katherine and of course that attraction doppelgänger curse added to it (btw are we sure that Tom Avery wasn't the one match for Elena to find a be attracted because obviously he could be the one to give all she ever wanted to grow old, stay human, and have a family with. But I am so annoyed by Elena that even though she wanted to have a normal human life she forgets the being involved with both Salvatores peaked the supernatural interest with all their activities. I mean I know that someday Klaus will find her or Travelers too. But she is not human she's a freakin doppelgänger! How the hell would she stay human if she in slapped within supernatural beacon that is Mystic Falls and dating vampires. Boo Hoo she lost Jeremy and Jenna but a lot of others lost some of their loved ones too - Bonnie with Shiela and Abbey to helping vampires well then Enzo, Caroline with her humanity by being Damon's blood bag and bed toy, her father, Jesse- Stefan by his nephew and Lexi - Matt with his sister - Jeremy with his bio parents, Jenna, Anna Zhu, and uncle. ETC! Tbh, Caroline was doing just fine with her humanity off as she was a vampire longer than Elena was and for being just a new awakening person she didn't directly kill the nurse but she did kill that one guy - they just need to give her time. I don't know why Bonnie just doesn't use her magic to force Elena and Caroline to turn their humanity switch on with all that boasting of being such a strong and powerful Bennet witch. Argh, I honestly don't think the Mystic Falls Gang wouldn't survive this long against the Originals if they actually made themselves to be strong and a united front they wouldn't have been defeated. Klaus was obsessed with Caroline and sees Caroline - whatever he has done to them were with reaction of "an eye for an eye" type. I honestly think that Caroline forgets how her supposed lovers treated her in the past what with Damon using her to get to Elena with the words of shallow and useless, Stefan obsessively focused on Elena who struggles being a proper vampire going on animal blood diet and going ripper when actually feeding on the vein, Tyler called her insecure, neurotic, bitchy little twit, and then there's Matt still stuck on Elena and not wanting to part of vampire business. And don't get me started on them dangling her Infront of Klaus for distraction and bait. I'm telling you that Team Originals would have won if they were united and get rid of Damon and Alaric (when Klaus hijacked his body and meeting them at the bar.

Stefan pushed her away to protect both her and Damon and looked what happened… if anything I see that this isn’t entirely elena’s fault bc Damon played a huge part in trying to get with Elena. Damon and Elena both knew about the past and what happened with Katherine and still ended up dealing with the love triangle horribly.

Without elena, he preferred suicide in s7.
Again, he is supposed to do the opposite as he claimed in s6.
He should respect his relationship with elena(by loving her and being the man she always wanted), but his actions are quite the opposite of it. He is self destructive, and hurts people he loves. Its bad writing. They just don't give him a damn character development!
Stefan's behaviour in this episode in understandable, and he shouldn't be placed on a pedestal either.
Elena accused him of treating her like a broken toy(which in my opinion makes no sense). The love of his life slept with his own brother, on the same day of his breakup, what exactly do you expect from him?
But stefan indeed had an amazing development past this moment.
It surprised me how he kept her in his heart throughout s4 and s5, while being in loving with her memory, swimming through his agony, inspiring her not to give up on damon, respecting his relationship without being self destructive or a prblm to others.
He doesn't need a pedestal(he just did the one thing that says he doesn't)but deserves to be respected for the choices he made at his most vulnerable.
