What is the major differences between magnetic LED profiles vs the LED profiles with drivers, receivers hard wires to each 24 foot length? In terms of quality, limitations, any major issues or disadvantages?

why are these rails so ridiculously huge? they should be elegant, not 10 cm deep ...
