I heard that in the beginning, the game that became GTA was once a cops and robbers type of game where you can pick your faction. People liked the criminals so much that they dropped the cop angle and the rest was history. The Precinct looks like an alternate GTA where it was cops only.

I talked to the devs. They said no third person, no first person. AND NO MOD/Steam Workshop SUPPORT. So this is not for me. I only played Hatred AFTER someone added first/third person with a mod on steam workshop
I don't know why, but I don't like this "not top down and not third person either" approach, doesn't feel very good to control. Game looks good in any case.

Agreed! I think we can just about deal with the top-down perspective, but for us 3rd Person lovers, a proper 3rd Person Camera like GTA would be the icing ont he cake as the game looks amazing.

That would require a lot of work, you have to consider that a lot of the stuff is being loaded in as you near it, so, it would take completely changing how the game loads in.

If they ever release a mod that gives it a 3rd person or 1st person camera view then maybe I'll check it out. But as of now, I'm NOT interested, especially because it has that top down birds-eye view which I always HATED. I wish we can get an actual modern open world crime game rather than a top down game that plays like GTA 1 & GTA 2. I NEVER liked top down games, whether GTA or otherwise.
