I understand what your saying. I know that your not setting aside the very things Sadhguru is teaching you. You very much so value what him, his mind, and his wisdom. Not only value, but I’m gonna guess that like me, just sort of knowing that he exists out there somewhere in the world. And not only that, but we have access to him and his wonderful mind!! Brings a kind of peace to your mind doesn’t it?? 🥹 And when you allow yourself to really settle into that peaceful feeling, you almost get sort of day-dreamy. And your mind then fantasizes about a world where all or at least most people, had similar views. Similar openness. Similar ideals, thoughts and actions. And for a moment, you imagine this wonderland where pain and darkness are overcome by peace and enlightenment. But, you still understand that OF COURSE the very beauty of it all is the growth. What would a perfect world even be?!…had we not experienced the other side. I know, I understand that I only appreciate these ideas because I’m attempting to grow OUT of an old me and into anew ☺️ That’s where the true wonder lies. But still, it is nice to fantasize a little now and then 😉 l
One of the hardest things for our Western culture is to move away from our childhood and past teachings that are not conducive and helpful in our present lives. Our thoughts actually hinder us because of the beliefs we were taught and decided to continue living with these beliefs. If someone doesn't agree with us it may turn our world upside down depending on our attachments to it or them. Just because most people get so angry and pissed for example: in traffic jams -is not a great thing to copy or do just because it's prevalent. Sitting there wilh your favourite music that is pleasant and calming and being by yourself in the luxury of quiet is going with the flow - after all there's nothing we can do to change the situation. Watching others blow fire out of their nostrils in anger is a sign of toxic behaviour that only make us even sicker and could ruin everyone's present moments. And yes, the rest of the day may be ruined too. So isn't it better to remain calm and wait until you can start moving again and this way we will most likely have a good day no matter what comes. I understand there are truly some sad and tough issues in our lives harsher than traffic jams but practising a level of control of our emotions can help us through some of the worst times. Sadhguru has helped me realize that we're in control here. Do we want to be in pain or joy. This is our life's purpose to be the healthiest, cleanest, kindest and most loving for ourselves and then these same attributes will rest onto others who choose to follow the path to peace of mind, joy and contentment.
