Sick as always! New Northlane is great :D Your tone is pretty slamming, but I think your compressor has too slow attack. Every time you hit the high octave in the riff it sticks out way too much. The low string is perfect, so it shouldn't be a much faster setting, just a little to catch the first bit of the high stuff.
+IsacDanielsson You're absolutely right. I've noticed this too but now that you mentioned I really need to get to know that Cali better. Thanks for the nice words. :)
I actually like the sound in the older videos better. I guess you have to get used to the cali. I think there is a bit too much compression going on. Maybe use a lower ratio or higher threshhold. Otherwise great sound and great playing!
Had to listen to it three times, smart, you are tuned to Dropped G# and playing some or lower notes on second fret of fourth string for low F1 note. In original song bass is tuned to Drop F0. I kinda believe that anything lower than G0 (24hz) is a bit muddy, not audiable, tuning bass to lowest G0 should be limit imo. Playing looked different from live version
I noticed that Alex tunes to F0 but he uses 174 Kaliums while I use 128 Dingwalls. I thought that the song sounds cool even with some parts transposed an octave higher. :)
yeah I get what you mean ! i actually went from a 170 to a 145 for drop g# on a 35" scale, it s definitely more comfortable and even sounds better with the fret noise, but i dunno 127 seemed so thin haha what brand of strings are you using?
+ringcross5 The Dingwall actually handles the floppiness like a champ. I did try a 158 for the low G# but the 127 is a lot more comfortable and there's not much of a difference when playing live or even when tracking covers. I do get 158s when I go in the studio though. :)
Where do you purchase 158's? I've been looking everywhere and can only find the Dingwall .127's which isn't thick enough for what I play (Drop G on a 35")
Foarte bine cantat si un ton grozav! Chiar m-am bucurat cand am vazut ca esti roman. Keep going!
Cool cover ! 😊

"Dracu bine!" As I would say if I could speak Romanian!
sick cover! but... .127 for a G#?? isn't that super floppy? i know it's a 37" but still...
