The window tint darkness isn't what keeps the car cool and the interior protected. Its the type of window tint film. I have nano ceramic window tint. All the way around on my vehicle and it makes a night and day difference in temperatures. And my tint is very light because i wanted the protection, not the darker tint so i can see at night driving. I would go with a 50% tint all the way around on this car. It wont be too dark or that noticeable to ruin the look and you stay cool and interior protected.
@@wasabitoburrion4409 I mean in the previous video he already said he was absolutely not selling it so this video is kind of pointless. He's also been saying he needs to sell the viper for a while now.
You said the '57 was the first car that your fiancée really approved of. That alone is a reason to keep it and get rid of the Viper. The Viper is a niche weekender or track type of car, while the '57 is all class. You already have plans for the '57 on Power Tour.. you're not doing that with the Viper. You scored great on both, but I'd sell the Viper in a heartbeat.
Randy. Don't you dare sell the Chevy. Get it ready for Power Tour. You will regret selling it. Dump the viper because you know you can always get another one. The Chevy would be more difficult to buy especially at the price you got it for.
Randy, this shouldn't have even been a question. The 57 BelAir is by far the better of the two. Yeah Vipers are fast, yeah they're perty, but as you've said countless times, they're not comfortable, are a seasonal car, are incredibly expensive to maintain, and I think, when you line them up with other cars of it's like, do not stand out. The Bel Air is a timeless beauty, is very comfortable to drive, it can be driven year round if needed (I'd personally save it from harsh winters), turns more heads than the Viper, is limitless in it's customization, parts pricing is much less (for customizing), and was more cherished by you I believe than the Viper is. I make that last statement after watching your face and listening to your prideful talk about owning the Chevy. Side by side at any show, the Chevy would draw bigger crowds. You will own that Chevy Bel Air till you're old and gray, that's if you don't let Nick inherit it when he's financially able to take care of that beauty. Sell the Viper, it's not even comparable to a 57 Chevy Bel Air as good as the one you have.
Here’s an idea. You can set up a schedule for what day you drive a certain car. For example, Mondays and Wednesdays it’s the Belair. Tuesdays and Thursdays it’s the Viper. The weekend is the Tesla.
57 Belair, comfortable, excellent for a long trip, and a huge following. It is the car everyone thinks of when talking about the 1950's. Viper, noisy, uncomfortable and not suited for a long trip. Cool, but no huge following. There is a clear winner here Randy :-). Keep that Belair!
RANDY I'M BIASED TOWARD THE 57 BECAUSE I HAD ONE LIKE YOUR EXCEOT FOR THE COLOR AND MINE WAS BLUE. I WAS 16 WHEN I FIRST GOT MINE OFF A USED CAR LOT 6 BLOCKS FROM WHERE I LIVE NOW! BECAUSE I LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE I WAS RAISED IN FROM THE AGE OF 2! THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A SWEET AND SOFY SPOT FOR A BEAUTIFUL 57 CHEVROLET 2 DOOR SEDAN! IT JUST SCREAMS AMERICANA FOR MY GENERATION- I SAW THE 57 CHEVROLET BORN BECAUSE I WAS BORN IN 1947! KEEP THE 57 FOREVER- YOU HAVE A ONE OF A KIND IN THAT INE! CHARLIE BASS IN SAN ANTONIO TEXAS!
Keep them both , the viper will appreciate with time , the solution to this is to store them , at the time stamp 20 33 you are facing a shop at the crossroads that was for rent earlier this year and looks as if it still is , some cars appreciate in value ,think of this as your pension scheme ,or investment scheme ,invest in what you know not some shares or bank . plus this will help convince the other half .
I wish he'd done that with quite a number of the cars he's had. I might not yet be twice Randy's age but I promise you feel pangs for cars you once had and wish you still had now. My (quite extensive) list is topped by an Alfa GT1600 Junior which I bought for £400 in 1981 and would now be worth £45k, plus a few Lotuses. I also have a few under the heading "The ones that got away", but I can put those down to fate. Randy can't do that because almost none of them get away. Having said that, we're all made differently and Randy does seem to want to *experience* them as much as owning them. Maybe more so.
Both cars are amazing. I've got a 79 2 door Chevrolet Caprice Classic that I will never sell, family got her brand new, and fell in love with her. I know what you mean the 57 and 79 are amazing cruisers.
Randy your so right the 57 is a must to keep & yes get the windows tinted it will look like a different car and more comfortable , that 17 explorer would be nice
not the bel air!!! Too many have died dont let this one die. Your fiance is correct! If I were ever fortunate enough to own one, I would tint the windows. It would look bad yes, but it would preserve the interior and my skin haha Lets race geo metros! LOL
I would definitely keep the 57 Chevy over the viper. Looking forward to seeing it on power tour for next year. I am hoping to do power tour 2025 in one of my cars.
They are fabulous cars both of them, but in the end of the day, its so rare and dificult to get a Bel air in great shape, but if u have some money u can get a Viper. Nice video like always.
Hard pick here considering I actually love both cars and would take either one. I would definitely keep the Bel Air though knowing how hard it is to find a nice one these days. It would be sad to let the Viper go but the Chevy Bel Air prices are pretty sweet. Awesome video as always Randy. 👍👍
Randy, two or three other folks on this have mentioned about the window tinting. There are window tints that are almost clear that will work much better than darkening the windows. You need to check them out. They cut down the UV rays, and heat getting into the car.
you got to keep the 57. jessica wants that 57 and you know it. she loved it from the moment you brought it home. vipers are just going to keep becoming more rare and less and less parts available for them. better to keep the fiance happy.
I hope you know what a lucky guy you are. I'm 66 and I've never driven a Viper or a 57 Chevy much less owned one. I know you work hard so you deserve the spoils, but you are also very lucky. Have fun and be safe. If you decided to give me one and only one, I'm not sure which one I would take. That 57 is so sweet, but so is the Viper. 😀✌💙
Look into the removable window tint. There is a company that laser cuts pieces specifically for your vehicle. Put them on and off whenever you want......just an idea
Hello Randy. Deciding which car to sell. The 1958 Chevrolet Bel Aire and the 2019 Dodge Viper. I think that you should sell the Dodge Viper. It'll help you with money for the Bel Aire for Power Tour.
Good morning Randy just got done watching your video on the 57 Chevy and the Dodge Viper. I love both of those cars and I’m glad that you have decided to hang on to those cars for now. I know you said that you gonna keep the 57 for power tour next year 2025. I’m very happy that you’re planning on keeping the car for that. I know you haven’t decided about the Dodge Viper yet but I hope you get to keep that one too because I absolutely love that one also I love both of them. so I’m just happy that you’re planning on keeping both of them maybe I know you’re planning on keeping the 57 but you said you might sell the Dodge Viper but you haven’t yet so for now I’m glad you’re keeping them but anyhow can’t wait to see your next video man. Talk to you later. Have a good day.
People are not trying to prove anything by pulling up next to you, but they’re trying to do is see what your car got hoping you’ll beat your car in front of them
The 57 has got to stick around. That car is an investment. It could only go up where the viper. Well that's going to level off at some point once the years catch up again
Though the 57 is a gorgeous car I feel that every Classic car show out there has to many 55-57 Chevy's Camaro's and Chevelle's and Various Dodges and Plymouth's ( you know the types) and Mustangs. To which I really believe they're all beautiful cars. I however want the ones that you don't see often like 58 Chevy's 59 Cadillac Elderado Convertible I Love the rarer ones. Like 59 Chevy Impalas you see these a lot in California like LA but not here up North around Maine.
The 57 chevy I know you'll keep for the long term, and what I would do is more then likely not going to be what you'll end up doing, but if it was me, the vehicles that you might want to keep for the long term, get the ram, get the cars on a trailer, haul them back to the house and park them back at the house and so you can have both the viper, 57 chevy and your shop space for vehicles that you won't be that attached to, but I do figure you'll end up selling the viper anyway which is completely up to you, but what I suggested is just what I would do, either way I loved the video and whatever happens we'll still be watching regardless, love the video!!
You look so Kool in that Viper!! 😎 But the '57 comes along only once in a lifetime. I would sell all your cars and keep those two the rest of my life. And just keep on buying only one and selling it to keep your channel going.
You should get an instant garage or pop up garage to store the Chevy at your house plus put a cover on the Chevy or get an 2 instant metal garage or a metal carport at your house to put the Chevy and the wife's or girl Mustang in and keep it safe from weather and outside elements, but on the carport idea put the Mustang and old Chevy under a tarp or car cover.
57 Chevy has been around and should STAY!!! I WOULD NEVER LET IT GO until ur ready to retire. I mean when you’re in your 60-70”s if you EVER do sell it.✌️ MY FAVORITE car ALWAYS ✅😎😎
Great video Randy I couldn’t sell either one. Those are my two favorite cars and my third is a Plymouth super Bird and I would definitely love to buy one.
Can you lift the Viper up and park something underneath it? I have no doubt we will see you next year at Power Tour with the Chevy. Don't forget to take the trailer hitch off the Chevy. A light tint on the windows could serve two purposes and think it would still look good.

I'd get rid of the viper. The bel air is pretty unique. Way better than a viper, in my opinion
Agreed. If the Viper was an ACR, I would just keep both. Hell with getting rid of either. : )

tinted windows are a must on the 57
I'd definitely keep the Bel Air - you can get a Viper anytime. Incidentally, what might be happening with those carbs is that you're not getting enough fuel squirt to stop it leaning out when you mash the throttle. I'm not familiar with American carburettors but this is a thing on Dell'Ortos and Weber carbs, though with them it's usually a rubber diaphragm that has persished. That perishing can get much worse with eco fuels with ethanol in them. The symptom with this is a loss of power soon after the initial acceleration after flooring the throttle. Power then returns as the revs build up.
Take them to your house and keep both in the garage. Dive on weekends and then sale in a few years if you feel like it
Hay randy make a garage in the side the the house an put the viper in the garage passably keep it and in your free time you can drive it
Sell the viper, and tint those windows on the Chevy. It will protect your interior as well as your heat exhaustion
If you saw the 57 Bel Air convertible for 35 K set up like a hot rod you would got that similar color a little bit lighter
