My physics teacher put a bed of nails on his body and made one of his students slam a sledgehammer onto a cinderblock held by the device, and had ketchup under his shirt as fake blood to prank us into thinking he was hurt by it. The heavier the dumbbell, the bigger the distance from the centre of mass of arm+dumbbell to centre of mass of his body. The bigger the distance, the slower you turn.
