- Dr. Fawad Baig completed his PhD in Media & Communication (Areas: Media Systems and Political Parallelism) from Technische Universität Dresden (TUD), Germany with Magna Cum Laude (high distinction). He has done doctoral courses from Aarhus University, Denmark, NTNU, Norway, and University of Perugia, Italy. He also holds PhD in Computer Science (Area: Adaptive Hypermedia & E-Learning) from University of Education, Lahore. He presented his research papers at international conferences including ICA, ECREA, IAMCR, WAPOR, and IJPP conference at Oxford University. He won Naomi C. Turner Prize for Best Paper at WAPOR, Portugal in 2017. He has 17 research papers on his credit published in reputed journals. Currently, he is Principal Investigator from Pakistan for Journalistic Role Performance project, a cross-national research study of 50 countries. He remained associated with Pakistan Television (PTV), Lahore center as Producer Programs for 14 years. Before joining PTV, he also served in academia for 3 years.

Sorry to say that you are interpreting it in the wrong way, who told you that PhD assessment test has been removed in Pakistan? I am a PhD scholar here in Islamabad with more than 30 publications in WOS and Scopus journals. Universities are still bound to consider those candidates for PhD admission who have passed either valid GAT- subject test having more than 60/100 or departmental test of the same university. There are two PhD in the world which is most challenging to get, the one which you get in Pakistan and the other is of USA and Canada. The rationale for saying them difficult is that you have to pass the comprehensive examinations after completing course work and more than 60% of students could not clear and are dropped out. What we are today is just because of Pakistani institutions so you should not degrade Pakistan universities and their higher education degrees. Cheers

Vedio m lmbi lbmi chorny se bhter h apni university ka system sai kren bijaye dusroon py tanqeed krny k. Or hum ny apny dam py research ki h na k kisi se li. Pakistani universities are best for Mphil & PhD.
