Used under 500 bucks, not new! They are out there. I'm gonna do a video soon on the best ways to search for deals so you can find one too. #guitar #guitaramp #short
This is a 1200 dollar amp new. Prices went up they used to cost around 750 new about two years ago. Even used now are around 5 to 600 bucks. Luckily I found one not to long ago for 350. Thank god it was the dsl40cr and not the dsl40c. When I got mine I didn’t know there were two versions. Luckily I got the newer version. If you look hard enough and get lucky sure you can get one cheaper. But average is about 550. Kick ass amp though. Works fantastic with my Gibson les Paul standard.
Totally agree i traded it and man i cant replace it only thing was when you get going fast on distortion it gets a bit flubby . But def not a deal breaker i think a new speaker could rectify the issue .but man for break up and everything in between this guy in soo right buy this one 9 outta ten from me.
Bought mine new around 600 in 2019 if I'm not mistaken. Crazy what they are going for now. Still a great amp and still priced very competitive to other offerings. Inflation sucks
Then there’s the Studio series that goes for 1800 now. Marshall’s US pricing is literally more expensive than buying handwired clones of their circuits.

Hmm I really don't remember but I know I keep the eq pretty much at noon, I was definitely on the ultra gain, presence is currently at like 10:30, not sure if i was using the reverb. Probably not, or very little. And I had it turned up loud for sure. I record really loud.
I had two of these amps and on the red ultra gain setting I couldn’t get it to sound good at all. I had to turn my gain and treble line down almost all the way to keep it from sounding brittle and really fuzzy.
700 ish a couple years ago new. Guitar center. I am pissed at it tho. When one set of tubes is malfunctioning. Have to play it on half power. I have never changed out tubes on an amp. Pretty easy process? ( I assume it’s a tube issue)

@@grantkuff3533 yeah there's literally a cr on ebay for 525 right now, we found this amp for under 500 at my local music store, and I'm looking at another one locally for under 500. They are out there.
Lol under $500, are you smoking crack? I've had a DSL100HR since the month it launched and I got mine for $750 but ONLY because sweetwater misprinted the price in their mailer and I noticed and they honored it (normal price was $899 at launch). I was already going to buy the DSP100HR at full price but I was waiting for payday and two days before I got paid the mailer showed up lol. Anyways it is an amazing amp. I added a choke to mine (I build amps, pedals, guitars and restore old tube radios/receivers) and I also added a switch on the ultra gain channel that makes it either stock dsl100hr, stock 100H or a split the difference setting (bright cap adjuster basically). The choke is also on a switch that you can get to from the top of the chassis so it's either choke or stock resistor. Both are interesting sounds/feels but I more often then not use it with the choke. And considering a Hammond 194G choke is only about $15 to $20 anyone can add the choke if they know how to properly solder.
@@scottpeterson7538 Just gotta be patient and check everyday. Right now there is a few on reverb for 600 local. They are more now than a year ago when I made the video. I would have to agree. The DSL 20 as well. Try to buy the newer versions 2018 and newer as Marshall has done circuit board mods on those beefing them up. Also, with the DSL 40 buy the newer dual master volumes version and the upgrade to the 6 button foot switch on the 40 CR is well worth it, giving you a 4 channel amp that’s better than the JVM410’s.
