The truss rod was loose ,intonation was off,I used a spanner to losen the locking caps,I loosened the strings and took the bridge off and eyeballed the bridge height.i then placed the bridge in place and it was perfect, i tightened the locking screws with my spanner

I've had my shredzilla for 3 years now and it's probably my favorite guitar. What's just as important as the guitar is where you buy it. Red blanket has been absolutely solid.
Two years ago I purchased a B.C. Rich JR-V Extreme from Guitar Center. Its a very nice guitar but it came with some issues. The high tuner screw was not centered correctly and was out of line. It was $1,500. But for once GC took care of it for me. They had the store tech repair the guitar and knocked off $250 without even telling me. The guitar is awesome and other than the tuner issue it is very good quality. The other complaint I have is that they do not come with a case. Every guitar should comes with a case even if they charge more. It's pointless to have a nice guitar and no way to store it. At that time there were no BC V cases available. I found that it fit in a Dean V case just fine.
I figured out the bridge on mine and set it up,the guitar is playing great now.the guitar was not set up- horrible policy.a 1500 dollar should be set up.since I did the work the guitar is playing and sounding great.i really like it.
I don’t think there is enough room for a quad, you might have to get something like… a hipshot baby grand or a gotoh wrap around. You would have to check the length between the posts but those might be more for what you’re looking for. Great video, what caught my attention was the twist of Cain, gotta support another Danzig fan haha❤

Nice Video Brother, I primarily used core PRS's and Gibson customs until I got my 83 Mockingbird that was my number 1. I always liked David Mustangs Bich's with the cloud inlays my old rhythm player had a black Legacy B and was always bragging I got to use his at one of our shows so comfortable to play & sweep arpeggios extremely smooth I purchased the Glitter Rock White Bich from Sweetwater my local Luther is a good friend of mine he was extremely impressed with it we had no fret issues. The bridge is not an issue for me maybe it's the way I play I dubbed my new Bich The White Witch my new #1

In a nutshell it has issues but sounds killer. Love to see you get your hands on a vintage Red mockingbird like Slash plays occasionally, have no idea of the specific model and from memory it has a Kahler?? but it is one fierce guitar
I have a 1983 Mockingbird Nagoya Japan Legend first year of the NJ series I actually prefer these over the US made it's a Mojo Monster but I think my legacy B it's right there with it
I have a Chuck stealth on order, but I decided to also get it plek'ed for this reason. I know it will come with shoddy frets and perhaps other problems. If it's screwed up enough I am guessing Sweetwater wont even run it through the plek machine. Hopefully it works out...

Did you have any dead frets on this one when you got it? I just received the same model and the 24th fret is dead. Curious if it is a easy fix or should I sent it back?
Where did you buy it? Sweetwater fixed mine. If its actually dead youre better of sending it back unless you wanna do a fret job. This one had a about 3.or 4 high frets

This is something I really just don't get. BCR has some of the best body designs ever made into an electric guitar, yet it seems that whoever owns the brand at the moment never sems to want the company to succeed. I just don't get it. I mean those Bitches, Warlocks, and Mockingbirds are every bit as iconic as an LP or an SG, and yet..... Like I said I just don't get it. Maybe consider taking a look at Balaguer then. I cancelled a custom order I had w/ Dunable after reading about their current state of qc. Looked around for short bit, and ended up ordering a 30" Explorer from them.

i think it is great when a new guitar is not set up and needs adjustment right out of the box! it means that no hack employees worked on it and it wasnt played it in a showroom somewhere by a bunch of dopes.

Also with this style bridge you need a wrench to go under the bridge to raise action because the stud cap is a locking stud. Bc rich does not ship these with the guitar and when asked about it they said they woukd send it and never did. I fully disagree that a 1499 dollar instrument should show up completely unplayable

BC Rich hasn’t been themselves in YEARS. The last great thing they put out back in the late 80’s was the Gunslinger. If it’s not a Bernie Rico era it’s most likely garbage. There’s to many great options out there to be wasting money on that.

The reason is because that raised ridge at the end is right where i like to rest my palm when trem picking. Kind of in the way
