I saw the ix myself today. Really nice vehicle and I was able to do exactly as you did, by putting the android auto google maps in the odometer dash area. Looked truly amazing

Wireless connection is a good improvement but the graphics, design and icons are so ugly. Unfortunately it looks a 80s style videogame specially on dashboard. Responsiveness is too slow it seems a very old android network.
android auto using the Hud, and speedometer display is honestly amazing. cannot wait to get the new 3 series with idrive 8!

It doesnt work with waze, in my g20. In the case of Maps, works only when Im navigating some route, anyway, excelent video, thanks.
