Does everyone else get the same thrill I do from seeing these places and knowing that amazing people who made history lived, worked and died in them? In 2017, when I went to Philadelphia and stood in the room where the Declaration of Independence was signed, it almost brought me to tears! Life is so fleeting and marking history is important. Thank you for this and other videos that take us to these places, Tom. Sorry you couldn't keep the cannon ball. 😄
How do you know the Declaration of Independence was signed in independence hall? History is not set in stone and is constantly evolving! 😂 jk sorry couldn’t help myself
This was my favorite tour. I didn't know Burr was against slavery. They always painted him as the villain in American history. Thank you for contextualizing everything including Juneteenth and the role of women.
Your tour guide was so cool. And you are great too of course. All this Hamilton stuff goes over my head as I am from Australia but I will look it up. I really like your videos. And thanks to camera person too
Goosebumps! Proud history nerd right here! Tom, going to NYC in two weeks and if I see you I'm giving you a big hug (if you're a hugger) to thank you for making the COVID years so much brighter!!! I also went to law school and I love what I do, but you are right where you are meant to be, my friend! I feel like you're going to make it big one day, just your vibe! Just trust me on that. Wishing you all the success, and again, thank you!!
Your videos are the best!!! Having moved out of New York years ago your videos remind me of places I’ve been and some I never knew about, keep up the good work!!!
I've been twice, it's a beautiful mansion rich with history, and is said to also be haunted. Glad Tom included that fun fact. It's a yes. Not only by lady of the house Eliza, but a soldier near the staircase, and a servant girl on the grounds by the mansion. Reported by staff and visitors.
Tom I was in NYC over the weekend. Went to RiseNY. I did Food Tour of Brooklyn. I’m fascinated with how cosmopolitan NY is. It’s the world. NY is a lot of fun.
Great history tour, but more importantly... You guys seeing each other? Clearly two spirits in history dancing around history. Was beautiful. Maybe just try a kid together, and see how that goes. How beautiful you two made an old wooden thing of dead people seem. Maybe she can be a guest historian in future vids.
It's 3 Blocks from My Childhood Home & Current Apartment in Washington Hts. I've always considered it to be the "Jewel In the Crown" ... Suggestion - Read Gore Vidal's Novel - "Burr"
What a fun tour! It doesn't surprise me at all to find out you are a Gemini. You are so out there it makes perfect sense. Lol This scientific observation is coming from an Aquarius who they say is >>> "Half genius and half insanity." Lol
“Most of them were enslavers”. Hmmm. Which ones? Ben Franklin? No. John Jay? No. John Adams? No. Alexander Hamilton? No. John Hancock? No. I can keep going.
Sick plug for Meg YT, Urbanist: Exploring Cities - Tour of Manhattan's Oldest Surviving Home - Jumel-Morris Mansion Yea, but Tom's Excellanto video has her without a mask ... Message sponsored by the Society of Friends for Lauren Graham Lookalikes.
Pimps, casas Roja, chorus girls and, yes, swarthy actors. Sounds like a Dark Side of NYC "Tenderloin District" video. Speaking of which, ya' suppose Eliza Jumel is ghostbusting with the Hussian spirit on the back stairwell? Food for thought 9:17 Meg (thinking): "When is this guy gonna leave? Kid knows too much." kidding :)

Very well said 👍😊👍
I don’t get how you just love to put the Founders down … you and your tour guide. Done with you. 👎
@@PJHynes-ff5sg You don't make any sense

OMG, as the kids say! It's another epic tour with the one and only Tom 'Out of work Actor' Delgado.
She’s pretty awesome. Y’all make a good tour team
Great video. Meg definitely passes the vibe check.
Tom! I've been there! Seriously man, you should do more videos on hidden treasures in NYC! Next the Dykeman farmhouse!

Welcome to the Best Channel on RUclips!
Also NY is such a unique city.
This was my favorite tour. I didn't know Burr was against slavery. They always painted him as the villain in American history. Thank you for contextualizing everything including Juneteenth and the role of women.
Yeah, I had to go back and rewatch that whole bit. This is the first time I'm seeing Burr in that context.
😂he was against slavery but he was a murderer …..my hero
@@bidhrohi12 go back and listen to the bit about history not being set in stone and it’s constantly evolving 😂

Excellent video. Tom. Making history live. The story of people just trying to figure it all out and stay alive. Keep on, keeping on. Ciao Paul.

GREAT TOUR TOM / THANKS

Great video loved seeing the interior to a building like that , didn’t expect some of the furniture it had
Great as always Tom!!
Meg, great smile and hostess :-)

Great video. I grew up in nearby Inwood and never knew about this house and it’s history.
I love watching these videos!!!
good job,thx bro!!!!
Another excellent tour!
Whoever the lady was in the last painting…she looks like the woman (Meg Lynch?) doing the tour! Crazy.
I like the 18thc Ring doorbell.
Thank you for this informative post
Excellent history, thank you
Great tour! And Woah! June 20th was also the day Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel was shot and killed in Beverly Hills in 1947.
wink with a fart sound is genius. thank you, tom!
Great video! I grew up on a “Burr Avenue”
Sick plug!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Mine is June 13th
You are a smart man.
Brill Tom , brill .

Happy upcoming birthday!
This is awesome
I like how he casually kills a cat in the beginning of every episode hahaha
June 15th here :)
This was pretty cool 👍 🤣
Awesome ❤
Tom I was in NYC over the weekend. Went to RiseNY. I did Food Tour of Brooklyn. I’m fascinated with how cosmopolitan NY is. It’s the world. NY is a lot of fun.
It really is; I can't think of anywhere else where you're a short subway ride from a neighborhood with almost every type of food and culture.
fantastic

She should definitely have business cards that say "Museum Honcho". it's a much more fun title lol
so interesting!

Are those orange trims the original colours.
I'm gettin' Morticia vibes 💥👌
My birthday is also June 19th! Sick plug.

I'm reading a book on Evangeline and Robert Ray Hamilton...would love a video on them. Interesting characters
I've been there , finding it through the book 111 Places you must not miss.
“Most of them were enslavers”. Hmmm. Which ones? Ben Franklin? No. John Jay? No. John Adams? No. Alexander Hamilton? No. John Hancock? No. I can keep going.
Actually, I believe Franklin did own slaves.
Nice collabo!
I knew he'll try to steal the cannonball. She was very kind not kicking his ars for farting :)
Very haunted 👻
Is the smart doorbell original?
excellant
Omg i live near there
I like that you had to qualify the extras as PG 😂
Sick plug for Meg

2:08 That's incorrect, the first highest point is not the NYU dorms, it's the top of Belfer Hall which is YU, not NYU building
excellent historical info and that guy has a future in comedy, opening act for Chris Rock?
Hope she got the key back.
... and the umbrella.
Morris jumel is supposedly also haunted!
❤️
Interesting. Not sure what was meant by ' history being revised' however.. What happened happened..
P.S. - knew this place was haunted as shit!!!!
Just a question, are you growing your hair to sell it? It is really curly!
I could find that sofa and have it mad today for about thirteen thousand dollars. It would be ready in twelve weeks.
Pretty sure I saw that couch in IKEA
The fart sound with the eye blink is discomforting. Fart noise by itself, funny. Add the eye blink and just weird.
3:46 Don't touch! 🤭
