Bardock had a soft heart and Goku wasnt a mindless evil kid either. He was sent to survive on earth not to conquer it. The only thing hitting his head did was erase his memories nor make him good
I think this could have been a better story if the author didn't try to keep all the story beats the same (Korrin's tower, Roshi teaching the Kamehameha, meeting tien and stealing his move) and killing everyone. If it had followed a completely different path for him without his power ups and trainings, it could have been a pretty interesting story

Its about original bardock having a vision about gokus whole life and changes the future by getting the sayians off planet vegeta before frieza booms it. Goku never bumps his head and because a dickhead, bulmas super evil, bardock slowly becomes a pussy. Sounds bad, but i swear its amazing

That scene is non canon filler from the anime. He canonically only has a power level around 1,000.

The real question is even if Goku didn’t get bumped on the head would he still be evil like I don’t think he would’ve actually killed everybody I mean sure that may have been his mission, but he’s just a kid who obviously wasn’t stronger than his grandpa, and as a Sayian, he’d come to respect strength, so essentially him respecting grandpa Gohan strength would soon teach him love, for he was just an infant. Honestly for the most part, we can assume that Goku, without hitting his head is more like Bardock so even as a kid, he probably respect those who try to protect them selves over those who don’t so he probably act more like current Vegeta but I don’t think he’d kill anybody at least nobody didn’t deserve it, or at least try to provoke him first, and I think he would grow to have respect for Krillin, because of the fact that he would just kill people in willy-nilly and more than likely learning from his grandpas example, even if he does have the pride of the Sayian

Eh, depending on what his nature leaned to him bumping his head had nothing to do with how his grandpa brought him up, basically saying that even if he bumped his head and grew up under tiapao he'll be evil....so him being who he is was only decide by who raise him, but if he grew up alone in the wild he might have been violent possibly by nature

i don't think these what if authors realize that if you change goku's initial departure too much, he wouldn't have survived leaving planet vegeta to begin with. frieza only allowed goku's ship to escape because his power level was only 2 points and he felt that he wouldn't survive or make any waves if he did manage to grow up. if goku was born as a high class saiyan with a combat power of 100-500 and frieza seen that goku had high potential he would have blown up the pod before it could escape just to get rid of a potential problem in the future. this was also why frieza limited vegeta's growth and kept him by his side for so long. it was for entertainment and had vegeta showed any true progression frieza would have eliminated him
