The opening statement, "nowhere to live, everything's expensive" How strangely similar to Melbourne in 2023 ....

Where did all the tents come from? .... who made them? ...who sold them ? .... were they waterproof? Sounds like rubbish !!

Seek the truth. Your story is based off (his story). Not history. Melbourne buildings can't all be built in 10 or 20 years like parliament house without electricity. Nothing makes sense ❤

What are you on about? Red pill tin hat spaghetti monster worshipping lost one are you?
You have no idea of what gold and gold money did to our city, our state and ultimately our home. It changed it overnight from a backwoods rural town into the richest city on planet earth for decades from 1851 to the early 1890s.
Do you know Melbourne? Take this daily picture in: the Birrarung/Yarra River up to the turn circle had 100s of tall ships all abandoned of sailor captain any sort of crew constantly, everyone was doing anything they could to get here for that sweet sweet gold.
We became a city overnight. There are books with pics of buildings going up with horse and man. Read a book

A fine bit of early Melbournian story telling. The citylink road tunnel and two new mole tunnels bisect the exact area of the old tent city. Great channel little lady. Rory, Tasmania.
