This is & always will be my #1 all time favorite song!! I'm 58 yrs., I was 14 or 15 when this came out! I had a paper route, my bike, & a transistor radio!! This was the 1st album cover I had on my wall, in my room!! Whenever, I need to "de-stress" myself, playing this song takes me where I need to go!! Truly good medicine for my soul!!!😎😎😎
The part in the song I have always found the most impressive is from 3:30 to 3:44 Brad Delp holds the same vocal phrase and not just a acends 3 steps, but an amazing 4th step without pausing. Amazing vocals.
Delp was such a great vocalist! On par with Perry, DeYoung, Mercury, etc! Since Brad's passing, i will never go to a Boston concert. No other vocalist they have to front the band would do him justice!
Who else, used to rock completely out to this song, with backlight posters on your wall, in your room?!! Who still listens to this song at maximum volume!!! The Megaband that still ripples around the world. Thank you Boston for music that rocked my Dad's childhood, throughout mine, and into my 33rd year on Earth.
A band and song so great even hand clapping was a vital instrument that added some magic. They were my first concert ever. Where has nearly 50 years gone?
THE greatest album of all time. You just hit play and let the whole thing go. I was born in 85 and love all kinds of music but there is just something about Boston. Epitome of Pop Rock. I saw them in 03 at red rocks in Denver without Brad Delp and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Tom Sholz is a god and RIP Brad Delp.
I came to listen because somebody was playing it today. I live in Brazil and we are living a very low moment in music here. Rhythms called 'sertanejo' and 'funk', which has nothing to do with real funk, are simply playing everywhere. But while new people with good taste keep coming, the old and good rock n roll will stands tall. The guy who is covering my doorman on his vacation was listening to this. He's got from Boston to Megadeth and he is only 27. There is hope.
as the old saying goes, you can tell a lot about the person from the company they keep. Music is most definitely company and Boston played with talent no other band equally introduced to the world. Their talent was most definitely decades ahead if their time.

This song came out and reminds me of the summer when my first love broke up with me. It took all of 5 minutes maybe, and then she slipped away. I was devastated and that pain never quite left me. I saw her recently late in 2019 after 45 years. We chatted and I found out about her life...and tho she kept her beauty, her life was not great. I told her about mine (actually I’ve lived the American Dream), and I’m sure when we parted she thought about ‘what could have been.’ And you know, as great of a life I’ve had, I too thought for a little bit about what could have been for us. I told her sisters that she broke my heart when she left me, and one said ‘we all knew.’ That too hurt a bit. God, we never quite get over the first time we felt real love...and it slipped away. I’m lucky in that I did get true love twice.

Steven, as a guy of now 72 years of age your post reduced me to tears. After three years my first love dumped me in the same way, less than 2 minutes and she had slipped away. Next morning before 5am I was on a railway bridge contemplating life without her, was it worth living, thankfully I made the right decision. I remember Valentine's Day, 1976. My mother bought me and my siblings some 45's at a record store as Valentine's Day gifts. I know there were 3 or 4 that she bought. I remember Kansas' Carry On Wayward Son, and Boston's More Than A Feeling. A few months later, my sister got the debut album of Brad Delp, Tom Scholz and company. We played THE HELL outta that album on the family stereo for years!!!. OMG!!! To this day, Boston is one of my favorite all-time albums, and bands!!!! It doesn't sound too bad for a 46 year old album! It was a sad day when Brad Delp committed suicide back in 2007. Also, it was equally sad when original drummer Sib Hashian died in 2017 while on a cruise ship. 🙏💔😥
When I was a kid, I would happily listen to my favourite songs over and over again. That impulse waned as I got older, but in recent years it's returned with a handful of songs. This song, just before my time, is one of 'em. It's perfect rock _and_ perfect pop.

I love BOSTON , their music well live on forever! My grandchildren are teenagers know and I couldn't believe when I was playing this song and they really liked it. They are into rap!
Last night I was listening to this song. And something happened. I started remembering things I didn't know I'd even witnessed. Things I had blocked out. Some things I wish I could forget. But sometimes, you have to remember to heal. Even if you don't want to.
I LOVE this song. Its been my favorite song since i was a little kid in the 70s. It definitely takes you back to another day. I remember being 16 and watching the boy i was mad in love with going off to college. Nostalgia.
SO many circles around the skating rink to this song. THE vocals are insane and those guitar licks and solo still hold up. The lights went out, and the disco ball spun as we skated faster , backwards, as soon as the solo breaks out. God, this song is so epic.
The "Roundup" ride at our county fair in the 70s only had this album and Jethro Tull "Aqua Lung". It blasted through the whole Midway. That's where this song takes me.
In ‘76 I was 11 years old and just learning to play guitar. There wasn’t any tablature, or sheet music to buy then. Took me months to get it right and it’s still a favorite 45 years later. So many memories.
Growing up in rural Africa, Zimbabwe was lucky to go to the only Eton of that time for black Africans in Rhodesia Bernard Mzeki College used to watch this song on a black and white TV. OH great memories
The best times ever my friends.and I still get that feeling when I listen to this music hope it lasts forever God knows we need it these days Right? Merry Christmas to you all .
I recorded this song without knowing they were boston, there in august 1976 in scarborough, england what a memory.l still miss you My beautiful Lynn mc Farland.
"More than a feeling." by Boston and "If you know what I mean." by Neil Diamond both came out toward the end of the summer of 1976, but it was not until I read the lyrics to "More Than a Feeling" recently that it occurred to me how similar they were. They were pigeon-holed into different genres, but the steady tempo and surreal production qualities were similar, and the themes in the lyrics were almost identical. Both the kind of great records that are not made much anymore.
What happened to music like this? Where you "close your eyes and slip away" Nowadays music is just noise blaring out of radios....so glad the oldies are still goodies!
Such a perfect song. The work that went in it was astounding. I listened to Boston over and over again. Never understood how this band struggled so hard to get to number 1. They were always underrated. Still listening.
The best song ever !!! Vocals, melody, rhythm, lyrics all perfect 10 !!! I've listened to all genres from classical to heavy metal, soft rock, pop, r and b, jazz, blues, and even ethnic music. No other song can compare. The nearest is probably a good iteration of Thais by Massenet !!!
My older siblings had this album when it first came out. I remember every note to the song even though I haven't heard it in decades. The funny part is BOY was I singing the words wayyyy off! Never saw the lyrics until now. Thanks. 💛
This song REALLY makes me wistful about lost time, lost youth, mistakes.... and then again....'youth is lost on the young' ...as they say; and hindsight is always bitter sweet. The old ones tried to tell 'us' that when we were young - now being old 'we' have to carry that torch to the young. ⏳
“So many people have come and gone. Their faces fade as the years go by.” Dang, that hit me hard right there.
Realt hit me in this part
Same here.
Cause it’s true you know? There’s so many people you meet in this world and a lot of them you never see again

This is one of my most favorite songs of all time. I remember the very first time I heard it, and will never forget that moment.
I have a friend named Maryanne and I always think about her when I hear this. 80s music is awesome !!!!!
Im always full of nostalgia when i hear boston music ,the good old days
I LOVE this song. Its been my favorite song since i was a little kid in the 70s. It definitely takes you back to another day. I remember being 16 and watching the boy i was mad in love with going off to college. Nostalgia.
Graduated in 1979 so this song runs back so many memories both good and bad wish the world was even similar to the times we had back then
SO many circles around the skating rink to this song.
It's a BEAUTIFUL LOVE SONG!!!! IT'S SO EXHILARATING WHEN A DREAM COMES TRUE!!!!
More than a feeling is my favorite song that time...
Peace of mind.. More than a feeling...Boston.. (Y)
Brad Delp's voice makes me want to weep...with goose bumps all over my body and in my soul.
~turned on some music to start my day~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I recorded this song without knowing they were boston, there in august 1976 in scarborough, england what a memory.l still miss you My beautiful Lynn mc Farland.
"More than a feeling." by
Boston and "If you know what I mean." by Neil Diamond both came out toward the end of the summer of 1976, but it was
not until I read the lyrics to "More Than a Feeling" recently that it
occurred to me how similar they were. They were pigeon-holed into
different genres, but the steady tempo and surreal production qualities
were similar, and the themes in the lyrics were almost identical. Both
the kind of great records that are not made much anymore.
It is more than a feeling...
I've had this on replay at work all day!! 💙
Simple music can make you sing simple hug can make you feel better simple things can make you happy. I hope my simple Hello brings smile to your face.
I was 17 when this song came out. It is to this day one of my fav songs. I really get lost in this song. Love it
What happened to music like this? Where you "close your eyes and slip away" Nowadays music is just noise blaring out of radios....so glad the oldies are still goodies!
My all time favourite song by any band in any time period. There will never be music like this again, never. Makes me want to cry to realize that.
Boston was the first band ever to do that strum chord at 1:51
Bill Arcand iii
I knew someone would throw shade at Kurt
Classic part
I thought it was a manufactured noise, not a real instrument. Thanks.
I don't think it's a chord brother man, isn't it just when they slide the guitar pick up or down the strings?
Brad Delp with a legendary voice. Luv you man!!!
4:21 - that transition from voice to guitar is awesome.
OMG! I love this song 🎵 🎼🎹🥁🎷🎼🎯
Wow!!!! This music will live forever
This is real classic music 👍❤️
Still one of favorite songs of all time. Brings back memories😊
It doesn’t get any better than this! I’m 64….still listening.
What a great song and band , music like this has no expiry date 🎸🎸
Classic rock song from the 70s when music was at it's best!
My older siblings had this album when it first came out. I remember every note to the song even though I haven't heard it in decades. The funny part is BOY was I singing the words wayyyy off! Never saw the lyrics until now. Thanks. 💛
I Saw Brad Delp at Harpos in Detroit around 1993! Was a really good show. R.I.P.
Song is a work of genius. All that needs to be said.
This Band Always Refreshing To Hear. Love To Drift Away With Boston !!!
This group has some amazing love songs.
Bring back the classics man!
This song reminds me of my mom passing away suddenly at a very young age , but this tune makes me feel better for some unknown reason LOVE YOU MOM 💞
It reminds me of a woman I know dying too. I closed my eyes and she slipped away. ❤
Best music never dies. It's like was released today.I love it .!!!!!
What a voice!
