It's most likely an ignition problem check all connections ,grime on the leads,check spark plugs and spark strength, test leads for resistance coils lastly fuel supply to carbs.
I think some of the 'Super' options might have some additives in them that might help but there's no real substitutes for making sure that the carbs are drained before storage. I'll try spraying some carb cleaner through the intake over the coming week too.
Basically a carb clean rebuild. Access is a pig so it's not a quick job. I ended up handing it over to a mechanic and got it sorted for a few hundred quid.
@@hungrywulff You can try opening up the airbox and squirting can cleaner into the intake whilst it's running and revving. If the blockage is minor then that can have some effect.
@@TheLoneTrader at last the old bike runs ok again.. not easy to find, changed the coils and removed the carbs several times. But it turned out to be a faulty spark plug..but thanks anyway !

Same is happening on my ZRX. Lack of power when i pass the 5000rpm. Happened after wintering
So what was it , is it fixed
Is there truth that using Super Unleaded (eg ESSO) helps to prevent this build up of 'resin' in the carbs?

Try sea foam, much better than redex at clearing gummy carbs.
What did you do to make the bike running ok again ? I'm interested because my ZRX 1100 seems to have the same problem..
