  • In this video we are going to show the steps an Allen Bradley Micro800 go through during it's scan cycle. The scan cycle is the same for all Micro800 PLCs including the Micro810, Micro820, Micro830, Micro850, and Micro870

    I love to see persons like you competent and qualified to work on Electrical work. Qualified means in the NEC, a worker who can work safely without injuring himself or others. A SAFETY kill device. YELLOW means caution or trouble. KILL the damn machine when its hurting hero workers.

    Can you do a video on how to wire and program the and for the GS2 VHD to get the fan to spin and stop? :)

    Hi Tim, Can you explain in a video how to create and use Structured Data Types in LD or UDFB? Thanks

    Hi Tim great content, can you use the free CCW online as you have shown or do you need to purchase the upgrade?

      Great question. I have done all of the lessons so far with the free version of Connected Components Workbench just so I would have exactly the same experience as someone starting out. There is no additional PLC functionality that the paid version gives you though it does have several features that make editing easier

    hi Tim
    These drivers have the first scan bit?
    I need to reset a counter when the PLC goes into run mode (every time it is energized)
    Is it possible to do this?

    • @TimWilborne
      @TimWilborne  3 года назад +1

      The First Scan bit in the Micro800 is the __SYSVA_FIRST_SCAN.

    Are you aware of how significantly worse the Micro 850 PLC simulator scan time can be. From Rockwell's Micro 800 selection brochure, I gather that the best-case scan time for Micro 850 is

      I would doubt it would be a concern, I always say that the simulators are good for beginners who are just trying to learn the very basic instructions but it sounds like you've moved on and probably need a test PLC on your desk to develop your code.

      @@TimWilborne This is just for my capstone project, I am aware that the simulator won't be as consistent in terms of low scan time. I was just curious if you have stumbled across unusual scan times while using the simulator. Just need to check a few more requirements before the client is ok with the proposed solution and he will submit an RFQ for the controller.

      Honestly I've only used the simulator to make a video to show how it works. I can't speak for the Micro800 simulator but there were many differences even in how instructions are executed and the outcome with RSLogix emulate. It wouldn't surprise me if this would have similar discrepancies.

    Programming realizes 0~4 light cycle on, each light on for 1 second, the cycle ends 5 times.
