I am of German descent. I always knew my grandfather was from Columbus, but I just found out he grew up in German Village. He left in the early 50's when he joined the Air Force shortly before my dad was born. I now live in Dublin about 15-20 minutes away.
There is a new development in German Village called Beck Place that is going to be the first new development in the Village in over 20 years. It will be the largest residential development in the Village with 20 units. Google Beck Place.
I live in Dublin and my car has been broken into and about a month ago a gas station clerk was murdered only a few blocks form the police chief's home. Crime is pretty much everywhere now.
I lived in in German Village from 1952-1965. All I remember is alcoholics, angry bully children of alcoholics, and more beer in the refrigerator than food. I would love to move back, but I have too many bad memories.

Depends where in Dublin. Many of the roads branching out from sawmill have never been good areas to start with, at least since the 1990s.
