Wow!! I really enjoyed that very much! Thank you so much!! I grew up in Libby from the late 60s through late 70s, all during my teen years. My mom still lives there. My dad worked on building the Libby dam and at logging for St. Regis/Neils saw mill and we fished the river often. Been to the falls and the swinging bridge many times and also hiked the old/original highway above the newer highway with is spectacular views of the river, but you still can't see what you showed from up there. I always wondered what that section of the river was like and heard tells of man eating size catfish in that stretch of the river and huge sturgeon. I caught ling further up the river close to Libby a time or two but mostly good sized trout as well as Kokanee in Kootenai resevoir behind the dam. Hiked Lee lake in the Cabinets and swam in Bull and Savage lakes. Been up above into I think what was called China basin on the north side of the river crossing that bridge in Troy. Great memories growing up in Libby. Now me and my wife have lived in the Philippines for 8 years.

Awesome aerial coverage! 😊👍 Thank you for sharing and for the danger that is not explained by others. Appreciate your channel. 🤗🏞️

At 3:00, the music track changes from barely tolerable to really sweet, with acoustic guitar music that is a much better match for the content of the video. Nice choice. Amazing video of rarely seen parts of a great river. (I grew up in Libby, and haven't seen some of those places.)

Is it allowed to wade in below kootenai falls if you carry a pole over the swinging bridge?

Question, is it even possible to use my Jon-boat and 4hp two stoke any where in the area? I live in Troy and don't really consider it.

On the slower sections of river yes but that's a small motor. Probably better suited for our local small lakes.

@@BiffBrain Thank you, I want to try a drift from Troy to the Idaho line, do you thing the motor would help or hurt.
