Sriranjini conveys great bhava of the sahitya along with mastery of raga ,Shruti laya and imagination . The stamp of discipline, knowledge , clarity she has acquired from her illustrious father and inspiration from his guru makes her renderings sweet. hope in the stress of more and more concerts she manages to have boi e culturing and goonj to make it more sweett
She shows great promise and with her pedigree and tutorial lineage she will go far. I agree also that we should be provided with the names of the accompanying artistes as well so we can fully appreciate the team.

Thanks Nambi. There are many such unsung heroes. Such gems of music should not be lost from amidst our collection as their service alone keeps our art alive. The organisers know damn well that violin and mridangam support elevates the vocal rendition and yet they do not wish to acknowledge the services of the accompanists !
Nambi Perumal +Ravishankar Rajamani The violinist is M. Rajeev. He accompanied Sriranjani a year ago at the Bangalore Kalavanta 2014 youth festival. The SanskritiSeries people are notorious for not publishing/honoring the accompaniments. I have heard the mridangam artist before in other You Tube music videos. He is from Bombay, I guess. If I come across this percussion some other time, I will answer this post again. R. Namperumal, Chicago
Sriranjani is brilliant no doubt, the violinist ( ??) is just as good , why are we not publishing his name ? This is the least we can do to honour such great accompanists. I will keep watching this space for an answer. Ravishankar
+Ravishankar Rajamani You may perhaps have found out by now, but if you haven't, the violinist is Rajeev Mukundan. He is a disciple of Kalaimamani Kanyakumari. He's among the sought-after violinists of today, playing for all the top artists of today, as you've clearly pointed out how brilliant he is. But we agree with the important question you bring up - why instrumentalists are not given enough/equal credit as the vocalists, in spite of there being no less talent on their part.

Brillaint is not the word but i could not hear a single word that shashi spoke i always like to hear the comments and views before and after such concerts.. kindly post that part or may be even if we could get a written review it is more informative for students like me.. thank u
@SanskritiSeries: What is with you Ding-Dongs that you don't give credit to the accompanying artists? And you want the listeners to subscribe?! Please understand that no one will listen to the vocalist for more than 5 minutes without an accompaniment nor will the vocalist perform neither. And it takes only a line to add them: Trivandrum V. Balaji on Mridangam and M. Rajeev on the violin. R. Namperumal, Chicago
This girl is from a good musical family, D/o Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan who follows 100% classism, like his guru Madurai Seshagopalan. If she maintains the same trend she may be equal to Brinda style of music. Very good for sr.citizens like us. She is after all young and my earnest request to her not to make some popular! singers like Sudha Raghunathan as her mentor. She can follow Bombay jayasree, but her voice is no were near hers, at present the voice of Bombay jayasree, wow! How great it is
