I expected in THE GAME that once we went in for Halftime that there would be some major changes...That didn't happen...I put that on the coaches...ALL OF THEM...
Also, with the clock never stopping for out-of-bounds plays or 1 st downs, a ridiculous 40 seconds between plays ( when it used be about 28), and being run another 25 seconds after a penalty ( that's 65 seconds with no football) halves fly by... They fly by!! Teams are now getting only about 2 possessions a quarter, unlike 4, 20 years ago... you cannot squander any opportunities
The difference is the snow actually stays on the ground in columbus 😂..Me and you both know knoxville snow very rarely lasts more than a few hours.It might snow in the morning and by noon its melted and 60 degrees

We are surrounded by mountains but knoxville is in the valley...For example the elevation in columbus ohio is higher than our elevation here in Knoxville Tennessee... Having great players is no guarantee that they’ll play great; that’s a coaching issue. The track record is underachievement in big games. The Michigan game was an exclamation point on that. Maybe playing for his job will inspire Day to exceed his previous performance? Maybe not.

Will Howard completes passes. But the few bad passes he makes every game are costly. He consistently makes bad decisions, and turns the ball over, drops the ball or falls down. If that doesn't happen he takes it all on by himself and just comes up a foot or a second short. He just doesn't get it done
Volunteer fan here. My best guess Ohio State plays lights and wins this one in a tight game. Tennessee does have a good defense but we’re susceptible to the pass. Nico is a freshman and this is his first real big game on a national stage… he’ll either play really well or mediocre and mediocre won’t beat y’all. Sampson is pretty good but you can’t just run it all the time. I also think at some point Howard is going to hit some passes and your receivers are talented enough to take it to the house. Either I just hope it’s not a blowout. I’m really not concerned about the cold weather though… it’s 38 degrees right now , it gets pretty cold in East Tennessee….we aren’t in Athens Georgia or Tuscaloosa.

It gets very cold in Athens the city has it snow events from time to time and even has showed in central and southern western areas of Georgia at times.climate change is weird.cold as hell all the way to northern Florida. I’ve been saying this for so fcking long like 2-3 seasons now… just the other night an nfl team was playing and 1st half the QB was pressured a ton and line wasn’t holding good at all so they literally moved a couple guys around then sure enough things turned the corner and the line was getting good push and holding good.. now that’s just an example but nonetheless as of late it stands… Ohio State used to be known for being a very good second half team and as of late that’s no been the case at all.. our adjustments coming out of half are always minor at best if any at all… and when we know QBs like to run we should have someone spy his ass all game cause we all theyll break a big run when it matters. So spy all game especially next week against this Tennessee freshman QB! That kid likes to run and we should easily hold him under 35yrd rushing.

Here's the thing, based on the poor seeding methodology if we had beat UM and Oregon, we'd be the #1 seed but still in the same bracket and would have needed to play Tennessee at some point if they moved passed the first round. If we had beat UM but lost to Oregon, we'd got the coveted #5 Penn State seed, but then everyone would have still worried about our chances against the top teams by coming off back to back Oregon losses.
Weather will not be a problem. This is a NFL tryouts game. Every player that plays has potential to get drafted in the future. So I don't think weather will be a major issue.
Last series in The Game looked good scheming side blocks etc...they did not go back to it nor the pass game...slants, cuts, screens etc. I think that changes in the next game the have nothing to lose.

Vol fan here. I can't really say how this game is gonna go but i will say this.. Look at the comments about Ryan Day. It seems like a lot of Buckeye fans have no faith in him. That means chances are that some of the players have no faith in him either. You wont hear a single Vol fan express anything but confidence in where JH is leading us.. including our players. They wlil run through a brick wall for Josh. If this game is close till the 4th quarter then it will come down to who's team wants it more. The vols have played very close games all year and our guys dug in hard until the last. Even against Arkansas, we only lostl by one point on the road. If the bucks give up at home like they did against Michigan then they will lose against us.

JT Tuimoloau and Emeka Egbuka would have a win vs Michigan, a conference championship, and an undefeated CFP Final had they stayed home at Washington.
