At the heart of the story of these blessed days of Dhul Hijjah is the friend of Allah, Ibrahim (as), being commanded to sacrifice his beloved son Ismail (as). What wisdom and practical lessons can be derived for us spiritually from this moment?

Ya Allah grant me my family and the entire ummah the devotion you granted Ibrahim AS
Now a days, we know a lot about Islam than our pervious people due to easy access to internet and spread of Islam in all languages. But the more we have gained “knowledge”, we haven’t gained complete trust and obedience in the same proportion. Like when I look at my own-self and see my parents or grandparents, they might have not known a lot of things, they might not get exposed to scholars from all over the world, the little bit they knew they obeyed and followed wholeheartedly. Whereas we the new generation are more interested in knowing than following.
The whole life story of Ibrahim (AS) is a story of tawakkul in Allah. He obeyed each and every command of Allah without a question, so did his family, Ismael (As) and Hajar (AS). During these blessed ten days of Dhul Hijjah, I pray that we Muslims as a nation learn to develop such Tawakkul in Allah.
Aameen..
Allahumma Aameen ya Rabbal Alaameen
Ameen ya Rabb el Alameen
Amiin
Subhanallah you got me thinking, so true. Sometimes we make fun of the older generations lesser knowledge but actually they really were devoted to Allah SWT and His messenger more than some of us (me included) are nowadays
"The sacrifice that matters most is removing anything that stands as a barrier between oneself and Allah."
This also shows the importance of good tarbiyah from a mother...Hazrat Hajar was a wonderful mother she imbibed the same trust in her son's heart...AS THE SON ASKED THE SAME QUESTION "DID ALLAH COMMAND YOU TO DO THIS?"...and Ismael submitted to Allah just like his mother Hajar who submitted to Allah's command...
Allah celebrates their act of submission...Sayii...and Sacrifice...This entire month is around Ibrahim as and his family.... Alhamdulillah Hazrat Ibrahim as had a wonderful family
May the Almighty Allah blessings be upon you and your family Aameeen

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
02:12 🙏 The command of Allah is inherently good, and everything He commands is for our benefit, even if we can't fully understand it.
03:41 🌟 Dreams of the prophets are a form of Revelation (Wahi), and they must act on them without questioning.
06:11 🤝 Absolute trust in Allah's command being good and the willingness to sacrifice for Allah's pleasure is the core of Ibrahim's story.
08:46 🚫 The story of Ibrahim and his willingness to sacrifice his son is not an excuse to misinterpret or misrepresent religion; it's about complete trust in Allah.
10:41 💡 Allah's commands may not always make immediate sense, but they are ultimately for our benefit. Trust in Allah's wisdom is crucial.
14:51 🤲 Willingly submit to Allah, even when you can't fully understand, and be willing to sacrifice anything that stands as a barrier between you and Allah.

JazakAllah Khair. I read the articles from Working Towards Ehsan Newsletter, by Ahmed Shaikh, and apparently there are a lot of organizations that don't use donations as intended, have huge overheads, and are not transparent. I would like to donate Qurbani to a trustworthy organization. Does anyone recommend a trustworthy organization?
I can recommend several here is some: Charity Right, MATWA, Muslim Aid, Human Appeal, Islamic Relief just to mention a few. Launch Good also has several organizations doing Qurban. All of them have already been verified so you knw they are legit. Not sure what country your located, type it into launch good if you want to avoid international fees. But most organizations just include it as part of the general service fee so all good, Inshallah.
@@SOS0799 JazakAllah Khair for your reply. I used to donate to Islamic Relief USA, but stopped since they send a lot of paper mailings, which is a waste of money, and I want to make sure my donation is going to those in need and not for advertising/marketing. MuslimAid also sends paper mailings. There is no need for paper mail since everything is electronic these days. If you have time to read the Working Towards Ehsan Newsletter by Ahmed Shaikh, the articles mention that IRUSA has a high overhead and other issues. There are also a few articles about issues with LaunchGood.
