The W7's are really good subs. They are just really expensive. Regardless of what you could get for what money... this sub / amp combo is pretty nasty.
Not kidding at all, apparently you don't realize how obscure FI is to people who are not in to car audio. Even if he wow'd them with it, they would forget what it was within 10 minutes of walking away. Power of advertiasing...
to tell you about jl back in 1994 i tied the world record in the 250watt class with a 156.4 at the dash with jl that kept up with the rockford fosgate van back then and everybody thougt they were the best back then but yet jl cept rigt up wiyh them
Because when you're trying to recognized as a balla, it helps to have equipment that everyone has heard of. FI is awesome, but since they don't spend money on advertising 80% of people at a car show will think he cheaped out on generic equipment.
DO you how to use camera? I didnt get the idea of install because you moving camera around so fast and so much only close shots. OK setup by the way, doors woud be nicer.
i agree the reason i like jl audio i think they are the cadilac of speakers sure there are speakers that hit harder but there are no other subs out there that sound as good as jl audio and still get high spl out of them i will always by jl to me there is nothing better when you combine the to thing i said sq and db
ill try that but i go to alot of shows so thats free advertisement and that way they can here it also i got two shows this week if i ever get it back from the paint shop im haveing the tail gate airbrushed and the guy has had it for three week but thats what happens when you pay up front then they start putting pepole ahead of you because they already got your money if you know a good airbrusher let me know must do top notch work
to the two pepole that hit dislike im sorry that i didnt go buy a piece of crap vehicle that is still runing but falling apart to put 15000.00 into it to watch it fall apart at computitions so i can get a good reaction i hapend to invest into a 2010 dodge ram in 2011 no disrespect to the pepole that cant afford a new vehicle its just some pepole dont like unless your vehicle falls apart my self i like to have a strong vehicle to start with because we know its going to fall apart eventualy
classicc74 nah, I wish it was lol! I got a 02 park avenue that I'm gonna throw 2 or 3 13w7 sub woofers and an hd1200/1 amp to run each one. They just do cost a good dollar but worth it. Right now I'm working on my door panels ;)
Im sure that the dislikes are from people who dont like car audio, hate jl audio or think he went with expensive equipment to show off his money. But, sweet set-up. My shop sells jl audio. I have installed a few 13w7 subs. all in a custom built box. One was on a slash 1000.1v3. Others on the hd amps. Loud and sounds great. But, super expensive. The cheapest jl audio set up i did the guy paid $4,500.
for one thing dont you mean spl instead of sql just i still got thing i can do to get 3 db more without chageing the box that was the first stereo contest ive been to since it got done so i had to wait untill the subs were brook in you will se on here again and next time it will be alot louder with the same equitment and personaily i love jl and dont care what any body thinks about them and i would never use any thing else so if you cant afford them dont hate me

6 jl audio 13w7s with 6 hd1200/1 jl audio amp plus all the mids and highs were being run on 2 hd600/1 jl audio amps
154.8 and we still got alot tweeken to do and it will hit harder by the time we are done with it with the same equitment
your right but every body was tested with the same type of meter back then just like they are now
besides the 8 batterys i have 2 300 amp alternators from oihio generators

That "156.4" was not on a termlab! My truck hits a 160 on a old ass meter. Only a 152 on termlab. Way different ways they measured spl back then.
