Recently overhauled an early 3406E, (1st time overhauling an overhead Cat)...i don't dismantle/ reassemble engine's that often, but i still can't get over the fact how simple those engines really are .. the long block anyway, of the 3400,C15,16,18... Great engine's,but anyway, thanks for the videos 👍👍👊
This engine is capable of shutting down 3 of the 6 cylinders. With each Turbo running off of 3 cylinders I believe its more of an emissions design. These Turbos are about the size of what you'd find in a normal C15 application and this setup moves a lot of air in terms of volume.
