This one's about that struggle we can have with ourselves in our own minds. Everyone’s got something. Could be an unhealthy thought life, addictions, insecurities, whatever yours may be. This song is about standing up to those things. “I’ve had a devil in my mind, and I’m done listening." I know this one won't be for everyone, it's experimental, it's different, but for some, it might mean a lot.
Also, figured I'd drop a little explanation about the skulls here, why I use them so much, because not everyone knows. The last bottle of alcohol gifted to me from my brother before I went sober was a bottle of vodka shaped like a skull. I still have it, unopened in my living room, and I’m eight years sober at this point. When I see that bottle, and I see it every day, I don’t see a crutch or a temptation, I see the strength of my own will. I believe reinterpreting the darkest points in your life as sources of strength and personal growth is key to blooming as a human being. The way I’ve flipped that skull emoji to mean something positive in my world reflects that way of thinking. When I see you drop skulls, I see all that.
