Shout out for figuring out how make some money farming and cooking on your own. I didn't know about the trees and plant fiber chair crafting money scheme though only because I didnt see a whole lot of payoff for so much time consumed granted its very little effort on your part to do it but still WE WANT BIG MONEY FOR NEXT TO NO WORK right lol. I took the farming idea a step further and upgraded my ship (human ship) to about 3-4 (whichever one gives you the big cargo bay room) and made a two story farm/ranch (basically all you need is 1 plot of dirt stretched out and you have to continuously water them to make it grow. I keep chickens and Mooshi on the ground level (since they can't get out due to the dip in the floor) and now all I do is harvest/ replant, water, and collect eggs and milk then cook all the rare food I can and sell it at the terramart, also a fridge is useful for meats and hard to come by perishables. my personal favorite thing I figured out once you can collect water with your MM, is making poison. all you need is very little poison to do this but you wana do is make a reservoir in your ship or on a planet of your choice add just a few drops of the poison you collect from the more dangerous planets then go find you an ocean planet and harvest as much water as you want, go back to your newly created reservoir of poison and add your water....almost instantly you have a tub of poison which you can use to craft batteries out of
Fast way to make money: build a giant compact colony, I have a 120 deed colony on a moon, getting me 50-70 thousand pixels per harvest, as well as tier 10 weapons, this very laggy though I would suggest a colony of 15-60 deeds, still getting you a huge pixel output... Also build on a moon so that you get the highest tier of weapons, it will get an average of 25000 pixels per harvest, or about every 15-20 minutes
The biggest problem is u need a lot of pixels for the colony deeds, and a pixel printer to get the copious quantities of doors and lights. Then I personally use proximity detectors so I don't run into the doors
Link all the doors to each other and then to one switch. The specification is for a door and a light, they don't have to be able to open or close it :)
Easiest and game breaking way to make money is to create a colony on a moon. So long as you don't pick up the fuel ore the spirit won't spawn. Moon is a level 10 zone so you get best weapons and rent in the game. Just remember to spawn in as many colonist as you can. Can easy make more than 20000 an hour.
I used to have a giant farm with a lot of crops so I just made the best kinds of food and sold it via Terramart Shipments. I just have tons of 10x voxels now.
Easy early game money is farming Hunting Carven mission: Require Head Tech (Plus, spike sphere and any other weapon with dash or blink will make you run faster) The main goal is the Secret room which have a chest the alway give 1 Tribal Mark, you can sell it for 1000g, just beamback when you have it (if you have spike sphere you can avoid fighting and save time, just climp on the wall at the door you see Nuru). Chest and barels on the way will give you 1-2 weapons if you haven't clear the mission yet so you can make easy atleat 1000-3000g/per depending how many weapon you got on the way, This good farm for early game and you don't need to build any farm or need any masterial(still need 10gold bar and 8 tech card for techs, ofc, but you still need it anyway), after cleared it still give you weapon but very few chance so it isn't good for farm anymore but if you ran out of way it still give you 1000g alway.
Fast Way To Get Lots Of Money: Get a good weapon that has at least 26 damage and do the enrichus mineing facility over an over again. this gives about 1000-2000+ each time you do the mission. Plus from the chest you can get capure pods, diamonds, and 1000 pixels. the money comes from the enemys cause they drop ALOT! of money.
psst. making wooden crates (the smaller ones) makes money faster than the chairs. per timber, they each net the same amount of pixels, but since crates take 5 more, they will be faster to craft. saves a bit of time :D
i assume you're talking about fluffalos, yeah it makes pretty good money if you turn all of them into generic items and then into perfect pants. 10k per pants.
any mob farms? I saw a lava trough but I think that was patched out, but perhaps if there were platforms they DO spawn on, and then they fall onto? *ponder*
Alright, an exploit that i found is to repeat the erchius mining facility or the floran hunting misson and at the end, you will always get at least some profit. in this case pixels is what we are looking for, a whole voxel.
i use alien trees that drop alien fruit and striped logs. i sell the fruit and make alien chests from the logs and sell them. a full terramart shipment of alien fruit gives 480 pixles and chests are worth 14 each. changing the fruit into juice only gives 3 more pixels so i dont bother.
Another way is to farm all the worlds with an ark/mine on them. These worlds have iron as the highest ore on the survey. Pick up all the crates/chairs/barrels/etc and sell them. You wont get as many pixels but you will get matter manipulators/tech cards/upgrade modules. Plus its pretty easy! :)
got 952 pixles from selling the stuff from the mine on a starting world, also got 6 manipulators and 2 tech cards. if i sell those too it comes to 2652. not bad at all for about 5 minutes work
The easiest way is probably a fluffalo farm, since it's compact enough to put on ship. (20 of each type of fluffalo) After each harvest craft the stuff into perfectly generic item and make the perfect trousers, which sell for 10k.
i use the "ore seeds mod" (i think thats what its called) to farm voxels. yes, 10k voxels. around 300k pixels per harvest using like 8 plants. this mod is on the steam workshop, so it's super easy to download.
+heresyV6 this is true but we welcome all ideas in this community. You and I may not be down for this idea but others may like it and want to use it. I mean the game is designed to be modded. :)
FireSpark81 I agree. It's totally up to you. There are a ton of mods out in the Steam Workshop which expand the game mechanics more or less. It's up to every person, if he thinks a mod ruins the game or is a great addition to it. In my opinion however, this ist very close to cheating. Making money so easily, you're just not meant to being able to in the game. Making progress, which makes a lot of it's fun part, is made less achieving by this kind of a mod.
the mod isnt really that cheaty, it is very grindy at the start, but it gets better as you go. you need 10k pixels to buy the seed maker, and the seed upgrader, and the voxel seeds cost 5k initially, and take around 134k to fully upgrade. it costs a lot at the beginning, but soon pays off, as most seeds take just 10 of the resource to make the t0 seeds but the costs quickly go up, [example][it goes from 10-25 25-200 200-500 500-1000 i think] the grind was real until i got that first max voxel seed. it was smooth sailing from there.
Hey FireSpark I just wanna sat that I'm going to start a video series of this.. and I have gotten a lot of ideas from you. Thank you.. You are doing a great job man. !!! I will definitely shout you out.
The way i make pixels is by mining asteroids with a fully upgraded matter manipulator. Put the ores in a refinery (actually use 5-10 of them at a time) and you'll roughly get ~15000-30000 pixels per hour.
Warning for spoilers as this farming method has to do with main storyline. I find it easier to just redo missions. I would like to point out that only missions that has to do with the main questchain is viable for this method as the missions gained from the Bartender and Trader only include a small pile of trash mobs + a boss. The first mission is usually not worth too much when it comes to farming, except for weapons in the crates and capture pods as the chance to get 2 is very high. I would still farm this mission for early weapon drops even with no armor or iron. It is possible to get a weapon strong enough to deal with the trash mobs here and the boss only requires built-in weapon mechanics to kill. I wouldn't recommend this boss if you can defeat better ones, but this is definately a start to something. Every single boss where you collect an artifact in the end (except Hylotl, too slow paced) is a pretty good method of farming, not to mention the bonus loot that comes along with it from storages and mobs within. Hunting Grounds is a good one as you have a teammate (Nuru) helping you defeat the Ixodoom and her dialogues are mostly able to be skipped. I used this boss to farm Durasteel in my no mining playthrough. This is also a good one for farming Salve and Bandages as both chests and mobs can have them. There's also a Legendary mask hidden here which will sell for 1000 pixels. The chest at the end has a high chance to contain an additional 1000 pixels and weapons which are best to sell because of their high value. I haven't experimented too much more with the remaining bosses at the different missions but the later in the story the mission occurs, the better loot and more money you will earn from it.
Actually if on steam version the best way to make pixels is to download the garden bot mod, the no watering mod, and the ftl crop mod. Using these three MOD to make a huge farm and AFK for 30 minute then you will be swimming in pixels.
Silk fibre is good, but I get like 3k or so from 105 moth traps (that took a lot to make). They make 400 or so silk fibres, which means 100 silk total... The best way to make money IMO is having a big fluffalo farm. They give the items needed to make Perfectly Generic Items. 20 PGI is the minimum required to make an armor part (trousers are cheaper) and sells for 10k each. I have 50 fluffalos of each. Thou it takes a big initial investment, I assure you money will become pointless. I don't even pick pixels up from chests or sell weapons anymore.

Aaron McElligott on the moon? Where this pink ghost is?
Peter Meter the pink ghost doesn't show up if you aren't holding fuel
Easiest and game breaking way to make money is to create a colony on a moon. So long as you don't pick up the fuel ore the spirit won't spawn. Moon is a level 10 zone so you get best weapons and rent in the game. Just remember to spawn in as many colonist as you can. Can easy make more than 20000 an hour.
Great tip! Thanks. I will try this.
+FireSpark81 make sure to build it underground to avoid meteor showers. But it definitely works, tried it last night. Good luck ;)
+Andrew Johnson testing this now. Trying to find a way to negate the meteors and seeing how much money I get.
They patched that in the previous update. :I
I used to have a giant farm with a lot of crops so I just made the best kinds of food and sold it via Terramart Shipments.

very informative video, how viable would a massive (whatever those big fuckn mamoth thingies are) farm be?
i assume you're talking about fluffalos, yeah it makes pretty good money if you turn all of them into generic items and then into perfect pants. 10k per pants.
How do I upgrade my table? I need to craft everything on it?
when i got the moth catcher its lighte is off is that supposed to be off at night?
as you said you could go do something else on your monitor, i was watching this while crafting bandages in starbound :)
We literraly do the same thing
any mob farms? I saw a lava trough but I think that was patched out, but perhaps if there were platforms they DO spawn on, and then they fall onto? *ponder*
Yea I did a mob farm once. ummmm.. I think it is in one of the community tips videos.
Alright, an exploit that i found is to repeat the erchius mining facility or the floran hunting misson and at the end, you will always get at least some profit. in this case pixels is what we are looking for, a whole voxel.

+krunkcleanup I haven't found the chest blueprint yet. But thanks for the info. I look forward to having a use for all this wood.
+FireSpark81 best way quick easy boring repeat the echourous mission tons and tons
+owen brady never thought about repeating missions. How much you get per run? May put that in next video. Thanks for the tip.
got 952 pixles from selling the stuff from the mine on a starting world, also got 6 manipulators and 2 tech cards. if i sell those too it comes to 2652. not bad at all for about 5 minutes work

This was really helpful thank you
+TheArabSisters “TheArabsisters” Glad you enjoyed it!

I’ve been making troughs with the same materials and 5 times the selling power.
Hey FireSpark I just wanna sat that I'm going to start a video series of this.. and I have gotten a lot of ideas from you. Thank you.. You are doing a great job man. !!! I will definitely shout you out.
Thanks and I'm glad I could be of inspiration to you.
Where I can find Tungsten?
Forest worlds. Not to be confused with Lush worlds (like the one you start on).
The way i make pixels is by mining asteroids with a fully upgraded matter manipulator. Put the ores in a refinery (actually use 5-10 of them at a time) and you'll roughly get ~15000-30000 pixels per hour.
+heresyV6 sounds about right. How do you traverse the asteroids?
triple jump tec / hook
or
explorer pod mod (depends on whether you kind of want to expand game mechanics or not) - which costs, I think, 45k pixels
+heresyV6 cool. I'm gonna make a video on this in a few days that is gonna blow your mind then lol
Welp, time to make some refineries.
rocket spear also works for mobility due to low gravity.
you can farm pixel and meat with Adult Poptop on Lush biomes. very easy make money.
To farm tree faster. Sssssee below.gov
*human* you can pretty much run and place saplings willst holding down lmb.

Good video!
I make pixels by mining in asteroid fields with a grappling hook and max speed matter manipulator, then I refine everything I get.
+Wyatt Rice Yup that's a great way to do it.
Grind the bosses easy way to do it
Better not run into those access violation errors
What cosmetics were you wearing it looks very cute ʕ◉ᴥ◉ʔ.
Good!(I'm not robot ore bot).

not fast ways to make money but quick ways lul
sell all your matter modules and tech cards
Nope I have to hoard those lol
not for me
If you don't need them anymorr, sell tech cards you find. Ridiculous money.
farm the erchius horror each time 1k pixels
snuff snuff
/spawnitem money 1000000 that works too
silk fibre is the key for money
+padischli I tried that. Seemed slow. What do you do just have a ton of moth traps?
FireSpark81 i have a giant moth trap tower
its a good way to get money
Thats cool. Got pics? I wanna see, sure others do to. How much you get from one harvest?
that's actually a really cool idea

+Thegoodoldaysafter911 yea but some people like to play without cheating. But cheating is always an option.
Eh it's in the game.
And game-crashing glitches are also in other games. Doesn't mean you should use em'. Just saying.
