Pretty trip report! I really enjoy their ATC communication. They communicate such in a nice way. Firefly seems to be a nice airline! I were really surprised about the addition of the 737 to their fleet.
They are definitely less problematic than the other local carriers. I daresay they could present themselves as a healthy competitor to AK if managed well.

Thank you! Unlike MH, you can’t select the seat at the kiosk. I pre-selected mine during booking and you can do so after booking just like how you can on AK or MH
This could very competitive to AirAsia. The on board experience pretty same like Airasia, no entertainment on seat. The seating arrangement also pretty same like AirAsia 😂. I hope Firefly can compete AirAsia in term which one is more “value” to choose from. 🤭
Yeap! AK has a potential rival now. If only FY uses newer aircraft which are less prone to technical problems. Now they’ve only got 3 737 and if any of them is grounded due technical, habis lah. Especially during festive seasons 😂

You just found out that Kuala Penyu has an airstrip??
The small town of Sipitang used to have an airstrip too, but it's now overgrown with bushes.
