Early 2000s hit different. Good times in my almost teens, playing Yugioh with my older brother (never could beat him back then). We still duel using old school decks on Master Duel since we don’t see each other often. Seeing these cards again hit me right in the nostalgia
LoB, hands down. For years ago when the game came out I was maybe, 7/8 years old? Fittingly enough, my grandfather was the one who got me and my brother all sorts of playing cards (Pokemon first, Yu-Gi-Oh later on). And he spoiled us rotten with packs of LoB, and even got us each the first starter decks (I got Yugi, my brother got Kaiba). Years have passed since then, my grandfather is no longer with us, and due to many issues my brother and I have grown distant. But when I heard these sets were coming back as part of the 25th anniversary, we both agreed we'd open a box of LoB together in his memory for the awesome game he got allowed us to get into. God watching these beings me back to elementary days. 28 years old now , recently got back into collecting .. it’s really expensive now though based on back in the day. Hard to collect
Watching these unboxing makes me pressed 😫 as a kid I had a chest full of 8k+ cards cuz I used to collect them heavily majority of them 1st and limited edition then we had to move one day so we left everything in a storage 😅 forgot to pay the storage off cuz we was struggling at the time and we ended up losing it, watching today at the values of those cards I would’ve been rolling in some money 😭
I’m glad they don’t have the 25th stamp personally. My favorite set would proably be Metal Raiders. Has a lot of cards in there I love and I love the artwork of the box!
I remember I had that same secret rare Thousand Dragon back in... I wanna say 2005 or so. I traded some kid on my block for it and I would just stare at it and my red-eyes from the starter deck for like an hour every day. Fking love the artwork of these cards, I need to get my hands on a Thousand Dragon again from this reprint.
Sam you single handedly beought me back into the best part of my childhood. A small little story from back in the day of my childhood. My mom bought me all the first edition. Yugioh cards that I ever asked for in 2003 2004 I probably begged in the rough area of 7 months to a year. Back in the day, she probably spent close to 900 to a $1000 for everything that I wanted. Just to turn around 4 to 5 years later, when I was 16 or 17 and cut up every single one of them to turn them into fortune teller terro cards(like the future predicting cards). Because the back of them they have cards that have the magical swirl on the back of them. Clear to say i cried my eyes out. I had 2 Blue Eyes LOB and safe to say i still hold a grudge hahahahahaha. Sorry for all the misspells. I was born and raised in Ukraine.

Got a challenge for u , starting budget $1,000, collect every yu gi oh set in order , apart from starting budget , too get a card u only trade , see how many sets u can complete , cant move on too next set until u finish previous set.
I was pretty disappointed that spellbinding circle was not in master duel, I can learn to accept it though. I somewhat get why, but none the less still feel like it should be there.
