    You know, it's really sad that genocides have occurred against people just for being part of a nationality or ethnicity. In fact, something that very few people know nowadays is that someone's nationality never determined someone's personality, and you can't blindly assume that a person is good or bad just by their nationality or ethnicity.
    I'll say this: It is better to be hurt by the truth than to be manipulated by the lies. If a genocide is proven, no one can deny it. If someone does, they are just too easily manipulated by things like nationalism and propaganda, causing them to deny these things. I agree with your explanation very well.
    One last thing: We are all humans. No one has the right to disrespect you by your nationality.

    • @Korac_Mapping
      @Korac_Mapping  3 месяца назад +2

      I guess that is probably because more people know about Armenian genoc*de than Congese genoc*de. Another thing that could be is, Turks (Not all) are prone to deny genoc*de their country did, while that isn't really the case with Belgians. So that is probably why people are complaining about Turkey but not about the other countries, like Belgium for example

    It's completely ridiculous that people don't "recognize" that something happened and act like it's just an opinion even in this comment section. 💀
    Imo, it's also ridiculous that people misuse the term gen oh side to the point that it is losing it's meaning like Nah zi. It's not because I think they didn't happen or happened to a lesser extent, it's because I don't think they meet the definition of the term. There are many horrible events where even more have passed than in actual things that meet the definition of this term.

    there are many genocides that are left unknown which is sad. Barely anyone knows about the highland clearances, which in a modern definition could be considered as a genocide due to the massive eviction of around 200,000 Scottish people by the English. Bruh, you included Armenian genocide that has no proof.
    First of all, as a legal situation, there are 3 European Court of Human Rights decisions stating that the Armenian incidents were not genocide. While denying a Jewish genocide is a crime, rejecting an Armenian genocide allegation is not a crime according to human rights. Because the court ruled that the Armenian events were not similar to the Jewish genocide.The Ottoman Empire was defeated in the First World War, and afterwards, Istanbul was occupied. During this period, some political soldiers and bureaucrats were imprisoned by the British on the island of Malta. The British made the Bekirağa trials in Istanbul regarding the Armenian issue but could not detect a genocide or similar crime. The British also made interrogations in Malta, the British prosecutor investigated the case for a long time and decided not to file a lawsuit on this issue. He replied to those who criticized him that I am a legist, not a politician.
    Also, the USA sent a delagation to investigate the Armenian issue. At Harbord Report USA delagation, it was determined that the Turks were benevolent and devious people, and they did not have bad behaviour. Unlike President Biden, in 1936, Americans officially declared that an incident such as the Armenian Genocide did not occur.
    Bernard Lewis is an expert historian. As a person living in those times, he knows best himself that the blue book is not a history but a book written for political purposes. Because it was the British, Russians, and their allies who used the Armenians against the Turks in the First World War. They alllied with Caucasian Armenia and promised them Great Armenia. They also used Anatolian Armenians for this purpose with their studies. While using it for this purpose, they first started to work by killing Armenians loyal to the Ottoman Empire, and when there were no Muslim men of working age in the countryside due to the war, they pushed the Armenians they prepared for a rebellion to betray.
    In the most difficult moments of the war, while the Ottomans could not find soldiers to send to the front, the rebellious Armenians not only hit the supply routes behind the front, but also started raiding Turkish and Kurdish villages and killing civilian elderlies, children and women. Moreover, in 1915, the last Armenian rebels raided the city of Van on the eastern front, killing tens of thousands of Turks, Kurds and Jews in this region, destroying the Turkish and Kurdish population temporarily and three of the Jewish population in the region permanently. Between 1900s and 1919, Armenian Gangs killed about 1,5 million Turks and Kurds.
    After this incident, the Ottoman Parliament passed the immigration law and decided to temporarily immigrate Armenians in Anatolia to Northern Syria, which was also Ottoman territory at that time.. However, the scope of the decision narrowed later, and the practice of immigration from these regions was abandoned since there was no Armenian Revolt in Western Anatolia. Contrary Biden’s speech there was no migration from Istanbul (not Constantinople)
    While the Ottomans could not even find soldiers to fight on the front, the claims that the Ottomans committed genocide against Armenians on their way to immigration are unrealistic. However, this does not mean that there were no attacks on Armenian immigrants by outlaws and deserters. Also, their route were full with migrated Turks, Caucasians and Kurds whom families massacred by Armenians at Caucasia or East Anatolia.

      But the main problem was bigger. When there were near no working age Muslim men at villages because of war, Armenians were making agriculture and the products they grew fed the people. When migration began there were no man left to make agriculture. From 1915 to 1918 a great famine occurred in Eastern Anatolia, Northern Iraq and Northern Syria. The problems increased even more when diseases such as epidemics and hygiene conditions, dysentery due to the shortage of drinking water were added to the hunger shortage. Although the Ottomans initially thought that they could solve the problem with additional budgets to feed Armenian immigrants, the issue was not money, but the scarcity of resources. When the additional budget came and the rations of the Armenian immigrants were increased, this time the Muslim people, who could not give the same money for food, started to starve. Among the Turks, Arabs and Kurds, this period is still called the period when people tried to survive by extracting seeds from cow and calf dung and cooking them. Even in the quora, you can come across claims by some Lebanese and Syrians that the Ottomans starved us and persecuted us.
      However, from 1877 to 1923, those who suffered the greatest damage in the wars were generally Turks and Muslims. In the independence movements such as Serbia, Croatia, Greece, Bulgaria, etc., millions of Turks and Muslims suffered persecution and lost half their population on the migration routes. Except for the Peloponnese, in Greece, Macedonia, Deliorman Region was the majority in Bulgaria, while the Turkish population in some regions disappeared completely and became a minority in some regions. At Caucasia and East Anatolia millions of Turks and Caucasians forced to migrate too. Hundreds of thousands of Turks and Caucasians died on the migration routes again. Many of them drowned in the Black Sea just like the current immigrants. So much so that some Caucasians still refuse to eat fish for the sake of their dead relativesFirst of all, as a legal situation, there are 3 European Court of Human Rights decisions stating that the Armenian incidents were not genocide.
