Oh no! I'm stressed for you, watching this. I've been there, usually at Christmas. I think this is why potters are the most "grounded" people I've met. The Kiln Gids do keep us humble, and we're always problem solving. Best of luck with everything! You've got this.
@pottersjournal Yes, commissions like this wedding will age you. When I was doing the last wedding, I had everything made and luckily bisque fired. I just needed to glaze them. That's when the idiot rear-ended me. I only had 10 days before the wedding, and I was messed up. Thank goodness I had students who knew how to finish them for me.
I was so lucky to just happen to have a used kiln sitting there. So very lucky the guy I know who hooked it up just got in from weeks out of town the day before.
I got so stressed 🫨watching I had to fast forward to find out if you had a successful run - that was too much for me even just watching - looks like everything is turning out great. So very relieved 😊👍🏼
LOL I could have done this in 5 videos but this 1 on this part of the story was enough for me. The 5 days from down to starting to understand the subtilties of the new kiln were just over the top. I just unloaded a kiln and asked myself why was this so fun, well, because it was NOT the ones in today's video.
What a thrilling story..... sitting on the edge of my seat ....
Succes with the progress
Fingers crossed 🤞
Roller-coaster.

Thanks Tiffany. As you fight through you know you're alive. I fit at least two months' worth of life into the time period of one.
