Ireland is a beautiful country. I lived in Dublin for about 2 years, I was supposed to be there for only two months but I fell in love with the city and stayed longer. Ireland means a lot to me and I'm hoping to visit it again soon. Ireland Rocks!!!, that's all I can say.
You should be proud of your city and country. Up the Dubs! Everybody loves Ireland, even if they do not know it. Full of history and pride. Ireland will live forever!!!
I lived ther for 4 months while I was an Erasmus Student 10 years ago. Simply LOVED IT! Dublin is the best... I'll never forget St. Stephen's Green Garden or Grafton Street... This video brought me a lot of memories...
Brilliant city..night life is better than anywere else in the world...been twice now and cant wait to get back again...the people are the friendliest you could meet.
Thanks for accepting my comments and thanks also for a very good video as I know it made with the best intentions and it works well. I also understand your comments on the unseen underprivilaged in USA. it's unfortunate but it exists in most countries. Best wishes friend. Nero
I've been to Dublin a few times now, the bestweekend away ever. Lovely place & lovely people. Oh & I love the black stuff to, drink it by the bucket load!!
"but it is growing fast. We hope that it keeps it old charm while becoming a modern cosmopolitan city. " I really hope so too, I am planning soon to go an a good long trip around Ireland and Scotland, both amazingly beautiful places in the world with rich folklore. I really hope so.
It is a lovely song i really liked it thank you. I am going to look it up even though i am American but i am of Irish descent families last name is Neal which derived from O'Neil my family were ship builders in Ireland =) Thanks for sharing this though
City Centre Dublin is an excellent place to live. Get to know your city and you will think alot different! The rain can do your head(True).. And people in Ireland do listen to this type of Music - maybe step outside of Dublin and go to the locals at the weekend and you will see!!
Ireland is one of the most fascinating countries in the world, along with Russia, China, Australia, Italy, Japan, USA and my beloved coutry Brazil. Beautiful Dublin!
Just wanted to say that when my family and I were over in Dublin in April 2006 we LOVED the country; especially the people. It is a shame that some people have to label others as subhuman and etc. I cannot wait until we return again to Ireland this time with the daughters.
my dad brought my grandad around the docklands to show him the developments, and he was just amazed at the changes! what part of dublin do you originate??
I didn't question your knowlege of the city, though docklands are a very new development. When I drive by there I'm still amazed that it's in Dublin, as I still expect to see a few dingy warehouses.
no,as long as you get there early enough and pick the spot you want you can stay there as long as you like, grafton street is usualy really busy with tourists and irish people so its a great place for street performing
yes, it was it was called black pool, or dubh linn in the irish language or gaelic as it's called but anyways it's where the vikings moored they're ships in the harbor hence the cities name i hope this awnsers your question.
Just wanted to clairfy my previous statement about Ireland . I have heard and read some comments about the people of Ireland being rude, insensitive, and etc. and I find this totally groundless. Not fair of people to cast aspersions on others without first meeting them. I found the people of Ireland to be warm, friendly, and accomodating. A place I would seriously consider moving to if a job required me too. Cannot wait to take go with my family again !!!
The hop-on/hop-off tour bus is an easy way to see most sites. Christ church has a good display for little money. There are a lot of good museums. of curse there are a lot of Pubs in Dublin, but get away from the tourist area for better prices
can anyone from ireland here, imagine what this country would be like without the developments of the docklands in dublin?? its something to think about isnt it?
Born in Dromoland, Co. Clare, he was the second son of Sir Edward O' Brien, fourth baronet of Dromoland Castle. William took the additional surname Smith, his mother's maiden name, upon inheriting property through her. He was educated at Harrow School and Trinity College, Cambridge.
There are more than nine times as many people with Irish Ancestry in America as there are in Ireland. Second and most important open your eyes and look around you live in a very beautiful country with beautiful people.
a bit of history for ya.if you look closely at the o'connel monument, you will see bullet holes still in the statues from the 1916 rising.they're in the gpo too,but from what i know there fairly high up so best of luck finding them
William Smith O'Brien (17 October 1803 -- 18 June 1864) was an Irish Nationalist and Member of Parliament (MP) and leader of the Young Ireland movement. He claimed to be able to trace his ancestry back to the eleventh century Ard Rí (High King of Ireland), Brian Boru.
is it really that bad.?.?.? my ancestry on my dads side of the family comes from Ireland and i was thinking about tracing it back. I would love to visit.
The boys of Liverpool, When we safely landed, Called myself a fool; I could no longer stand it; Blood began to boil, Temper I was losin', Poor ould Erin's isle They began abusin', "Hurrah my soul," sez I, My shillelagh I let fly; Some Galway boys were by, Saw I was a hobble in, Then with a loud hurray, They joined in the affray. We quickly cleared the way, For the rocky road to Dublin
