It really be like that though but it's realistically them constantly saying passive aggressive stuff to you or mean comments or disguising it as a joke. Then they snap at you out of nowhere. Kinda hurts when you really care for them and just wanted to be their friend and didn't think of them as competition or anything but they think that about you. One day I'll find a friend that has that "we're in this together" type mentality instead of "it's me against you" :/
