Enjoyed listening to this interview, very thoughtful points being made here. I agree with attending groups like SQL Saturday events to engage and build on the energy needed to continue pursuing difficult technical challenges, and for employment opportunities. One tool often overlooked, is your local library card. Many libraries will have extension programs to regional College libraries, so if they don’t have your technical book in the local library, they may ship it for free from the larger College libraries. My best advice for anyone getting started with T-SQL is to read Itzik Ben-Gan’s book on SQL Fundamentals. Despite being a world renowned expert, he acknowledged the Fundamentals book was the most difficult one to write, as he’s setting to foundation for so many getting into the technology. Again, if book cost is a blocker, you may find it available free from the library, or a college library. Thank your for sharing this interview!
Hi, Thanks for your thoughts and insight on this one Mark. I agree! I spend up to one day a week at the library because of the environment while I am there and in case if I want to pick up a book. Wish you a continued great weekend. // Ali

Great interview! You have a typo in the last name (missing a t-Shternshus), so I had a hard time finding the guest online.
Thank you!
