Hugely useful Bottomline NEVER give PIN or password to RECEIVE funds. Know details of the entity you are sending funds. Change your PIN or password straightaway if done by mistake.
My only concern is that, why are these apps vulnerable to such frauds. It's poor security system that is to be blamed.
Ye fraud nai hota hai . Focus when you pay anywhere or anyone this is commonsense and lots of people don't know very much and get fraud
it shud be developed in such way that while accepting money if u put pin,than there shud b warning : "These might be Fraud
It is not a poor security implemented brother, it is non awareness and negligence of people who don't know about how these frauds work.
Gpay is such. A bullshit app remotely payment nahi hona chahiye agar kisi ne access bhi kar lia ho , remote access ke port hi block hona chahiye.

Appreciated your efforts usually we prefer cash transaction though we have to travel 10 km to pay the bills we withdraw cash then go to market and pay the bills or buy the goods . The problem Is only when you want to buy something online say any subscription. disclosing card information is again a big headache. In that sinario we are looking for digital payment but a reliable party .

Best ways is not to use payment apps like these. Keep some cash in your pocket. Depending upon your mobile phone might take you in a jix when network problem or / and dying battery situation occur.
Keep low amounts in the account that is going to be used for online payments ( eg debit card). Account that has higher amounts must be used offline.
It may be seen hectic but far less hectic than a 'to do' after upi fraud.
Yes,this is what i always tell people..longer but safer route...keep less money in net banking account....never put all the eggs in net banking account basket.
If the Govt imposes than what you can do. Security is not a concern but Cashless is.
@@hometypist1966No govt is imposing or going to impose. As far as security of money is concerned, you need to take different measures time to time.
Cashless transactions are not bad but one has to manage it rightly to avoid any scam.

Sabse badii baat yeh hai ki cyber police bhi kuchh nhi karti. Banks also don't recognise this as a fraud and settle it in a single mail. I too have been frauded similarly
It's a shame that someone has figured out the loopholes to cheat and the security is far from perfect. People are losing their hard earned money and the fraudster gets away with all this. We demand the app makers and the banks to make the security foolproof.

Please tell the method to block the UPI app & change the pin number.
Change your UPI PIN
1. Open Google Pay .
2. At the top right, tap your photo.
3. Tap Bank account.
4. Tap the bank account you want to edit.
5. Tap More. Change UPI PIN.
6. Create a new UPI PIN.
7. Enter the same UPI PIN again.
