Unrelated to this video, I see many videos from YT showing people fix stuff by mixing superglue and things like cinnamon, sawdust, cement powder or baking soda, I would love to see a strength test on some of these types of repairs!
As a pastry chef, sugar and butter become an emulsion. It ensures a fluffier cookie rather than gooier. Also the cotton candy mightve melted due to the friction factor of your mixer. Every mixer us different when it comes to friction factor. So for the last cookie, it was super crispy because the sugar was in clumps on the outside. It melted in the oven and solidified creating a crispier "shell"
In addition to the sugar not dissolving properly, you think also maybe the heat from the mixer melting the butter & the lack of a stable emulsion might have also had a bit more "loose" fat out in the mix, causing it to almost fry up a bit, since it was only at the bottom where the cookies were in contact with the baking sheet? Same deal internally, where the fat would've inhibited structural formation, leading to the super gooey inside?
@@The_Razielim that's quite possible. Without actually trying it for myself, it's a good educated guess. There are a lot of factors into what "went wrong". A way to test your theory would be the mouth feel after eating the cookie. Did it taste oily or super buttery? Did it leave a residu in the mouth, etc.

A tip from someone who makes cotton candy for a living. Since you don’t need the cotton candy to be on the stick, you can make it faster by adding a net inside the bell of the cotton candy machine (they sell them specifically for the machines). The cotton candy will collect on the net in a big ring of floof and you just pull it out when it gets big enough. You’ll get way more per serving then you can spin onto the stick.
I love seeing these two collaborate together. It reminds me of when they were both on TKOR together. Back when I watched TKOR every day while eating lunch/dinner at my university.
I have found the true meaning of happiness, Nate and Cali baking together, it is just so much fun, unexpected, and wonderful. The only problem with this video, it was 47 minutes and 11 seconds too short. Haha!! I now really want to try the 3rd Abomination Cookie!!
You guys on camera together really hits different. Honestly didn't notice how much you two grew on me over time, that seeing you two together again has big nostalgia vibes.
So, now do regular cookies, cotton candy sugar at the normal time, and regular sugar at the end. Then it'll be the start of the unique "baking with cotton candy" playlist on your channel.
It's hilarious they both tasted the raw dough but found it less appealing when the third batch of cookies were gooey inthe middle. They're still the most fun pairing to watch on youtube

NftI episodes are always at least pretty good, but episodes with Cali are amazing. It's seriously just fun watching you work together. Doesn't really matter what you're making. Only complaint is we don't get to see the glee of Cali wielding a MAPP gas torch often enough.

Those kind of repairs work as a filler for deep scratches and gouges, I can't imagine it has any kind of holding strength.

this is why they should of done a version of them just hand mix in a bowl. Would of been a lot different in texture, taste, and looks.
