  • Our Summer 2024 reading features the following poets.
    Rose Mary Boehm is a German-born British national, who lives and writes in Peru. She is the author of two novels and eight poetry collections, including Life Stuff (Kelsay Books, 2023). She is a Pushcart and Best of the Net nominee. Her website is: rose-mary-boehm-poet.com.

    Jim Landwehr has six collections: Tea in the Pacific Northwest, Thoughts from a Line at the DMV, Genetically Speaking, On a Road, Reciting from Memory, and Written Life. Jim also has four published memoirs: At the Lake, Cretin Boy, Dirty Shirt, and The Portland House. He is retired and lives with his wife in Wisconsin.

    David Anthony Sam lives in Virginia with his wife, Linda. Eight of his collections are in print, including Writing the Significant Soil (2023), winner of the Homebound Poetry Prize. Geographies of the Dead will be published in 2025 by Kelsay Books. He teaches creative writing at Germanna Community College.

    Carolyn Light Bell is a writer, educator and photographer. The Joshua Poems is a collection of poetry about her youngest child who died by suicide in 2020 due to mental illness and addiction. Other works are short story collections, bilingual children’s books, A Collection of Meditations, and the editing of Rabbi Sim Glaser’s Pieces of Work, 36 Sermons.

    Sarah Russell is a Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net nominee. She has two poetry collections with Kelsay Books, Today and Other Seasons and I lost summer somewhere, which has sold almost 2,000 copies. A third collection, Emergence, will be published in 2025. She blogs at SarahRusellPoetry.net.

    John W. Bing retired from his work as a cross-cultural consultant and moved to New Mexico, where he enjoys the mountains and deserts surrounding his home. The geography of the area and the memories that flooded his mind after retirement inspired him to write his first book of poetry, Time Signatures.

    Claire Drucker is a Jewish lesbian mom, educational consultant, teacher, poet, and identical twin. Her first book-length collection is The Life You Gave Me (Kelsay Books, 2023). Her chapbook, The Fluid Body, was published by Finishing Line Press. She lives in California.

    Lynne Burnett is a Best of the Net and Pushcart nominee. She won the Lauren K. Alleyne Difficult Fruit Poetry Prize and the Jack Grapes Poetry Prize. As the first-place winner of Kelsay Books’ Women’s Poetry Contest, she is featured in the Summer 2024 issue of The Orchards Poetry Journal. Recently retired, she lives on Vancouver Island.

    Gene Twaronite is a Tucson poet and the author of five collections. His first poetry book, Trash Picker on Mars, won the 2017 New Mexico-Arizona Book Award. His latest collection, Death at the Mall, will be published by Kelsay Books in late summer 2024. He leads a poetry workshop for the University of Arizona OLLI program.
