  • Why are 50/50 Abec 9 sealed Bearings so great?
    I go through my experience with them after skating them for a couple months in rain and shine. Are they as good as my ceramic bearings?

    Full disclaimer, 50/50 sent me these for free but I always try my best to make a fair review.

    Even though these bearings have metal shields, you can clean them. Remove just one shield by bending it with a flat head screwdriver and pull off with small pliers. After cleaning, install in wheel with shielded side out.

      After cleaning with Sonic Turbo Wash, the best cleaning set around ;)

      wtf no, theres a small metal o ring on the inside edge of the rim. use a needle to find the opening of the clip and remove that first then the shield comes right out. u can remove both sheilds and even take out the retainer and all the balls. all generics are like this lol

    Great review! I am glad there is a solid, cheap bearing for aggressive skating! Much needed product!

    1)Shaman Elite 6ix Ceramic + Black Titanium bearing
    2) BONES® SWISS CERAMIC BEARING
    3) BIONIC CERAMIC BEARINGS
    Which of them is the fastest bearing and has more spinning time ??

    The world needs bearings like these! Did you test them on a longer flow at all or was it purely aggressive? I have 2 sets of bearings in need a bit of TLC and I cannot bear the thought, tbh. For 35 bux, or whatever that equates to in £, I'd have a set! Nice review, Dude!

      I just tested them for aggressive but they should be great for all skating.
      Well worth trying out if you don't wanna clean your old ones 😆. Thanks for watching man!

    Nice. I love these bearings. I 100% agree with you. Also one thing I would add is I killed different types of bearings around the same price range (or even more expensive) with some drops (and nothing even crazy). These take impact really well and stay rolling for a long time.

    Agreed, always try to buy Inline over skateboard products if and when possible.

    • @BrandonDrummond
      @BrandonDrummond  2 года назад +1

      Yes, you should always use bearing spacers. These don't come with any.

    Have you ever tried the bones reds bearings? Everyone I know that skateboards and some rollerbladers talk very highly of them and they are also in a similar pricetag as the 50/50 ones
    Anyway, great review!

    • @BrandonDrummond
      @BrandonDrummond  4 года назад +2

      Yes Bones were my old go to bearings. I even have their super Swiss ceramics. The 50/50s are cheaper and support rollerblading instead of skateboarding. Skateboarding is rich enough 😆 they’re a very good product though.

      Reds are ok, but not more than that.

    I've been using Shake Junt bearings, sold as abec 3, that cost half of what these 50/50's cost. They've been great for me, been skating them for over six months in dry,wet, and occasionally dirt/sand. they have silicon shields and can be cleaned. $10/8pack at Zumies if you have one near you, also zumies.com sells them for the same price. I haven't done any big drops/landings so I'm not sure how well they sustain impact, but they've broken my desire to have a higher abec number, these abec3's roll great.
