👍 Warlock-man 🧙♂️
I used to love these books as a kid growing up (still do in all truth). Island Of The Lizard King was the first I got, it still holds a lot of nostalgia. It's a book that has a kind of King Kong feel to it, as you go about exploring the island. I think my fave might be Appointment With F.E.A.R, though Deathtrap Dungeon runs it close. I was actually inspired to write a short story inspired by the Fighting Fantasy books, in which You are the hero. Bunged it on Smashwords for free. The story is called "You Are The Monster" (see what I did there!). Also pretty sure it inspired another story (a little longer but written in a style that mixes things up a bit... like the books)... This one I entitled "26 Minds on Standby". It can also be downloaded for free on Smashwords.
Sadly games workshop is not a place to meet people and play games any way now. A classic case of it forgetting why its popular. Not even for everyone anymore
Also doesn't help that a lot of GW stores are sausagefests filled with the ugliest, most socially awkward male specimens anyone has had the displeasure of laying their eyes on.
We all like to paint although difficult even that in itself is a type of game listening to all of this gave me stress 😂 an to the guy commenting bout the shop leave the socially awkward sausages alone n allow them to paint 😂
Great presentation. Fighting Fantasy books for adults is holistically possible!! Pure escapism
OUTSTANDING!
I got an autographed photo of Steve Jackson back in 1986 and he penned on it also..May your Stamina never fail
Yes life is a Game, a process through which we must live to try and reach our true potential. Beautiful presentation

Those early rpg pioneers must have some great stories to tell
